Some more updates in Russian doping scandal:

  • Russia’s Tatyana Beloborodova is facing the prospect of being stripped of her Olympic hammer throw gold medal she won at London 2012 after she was provisionally suspended by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) for retrospectively failing a drugs test.
  • Last month, Russia's Sergey Kirdyapkin was stripped of his Olympic medal he had won in the 50 kilometres walk at London 2012 for doping.
  • Elena Lashmanova, another athlete coached by Viktor Chegin, who has now been banned for life, had won the women's 20km race at London 2012 and has been allowed to keep her gold medal, despite testing positive herself in 2014.
  • Yuliya Zaripova is set to be stripped of the gold medal she won in the 3,000 metres steeplechase because of doping
  • Mariya Savinova, the 800m gold medallist, is also under investigation and expected to be disqualified.

3) Szwarnog (Poland) 1:30.50 (previous PB 1:30.56)

4) Galikova (Slovakia) 1:30.53 (previous PB 1:31.42)

5) Trapletti (Italy) 1:31.49

6) Golba (Poland) 1:32.36

Those might be new national records for Slovakia and Sweden.

I dont really understand those times ...

It looks as if something was wrong with the timing ... or the course was too short ...

By looking at the times i would say that the course might have been about 500m too short.

Something is definitely wrong. All of the Lithuanians reached their PB and even the athlete who finished "20km" course for the first time in her life reached Olympic standard. :mumble:

Or no doping tests ... :p

Everyone was at least 2 min faster than expected, so i would say the course was at least 500m too short (1km = 4min) or something went wrong with the timing.

Thank god Diniz didnt compete here, he wouldve destroyed the world record.
