As an aside, I am not sure how their are two threads.  I thought I posted in the original one.  Sorry about the duplicate.

Which 10 nations do you have in mind?

From a German perspective I hope that Danilo Riethmüller will win at least one medal again. Not sure about the women’s side though, there doesn’t seem to be a special talent. Germany seems to have the same problem as usual: They just aren’t competitive in cross-country.

I guess on the women’s side Zingerle should dominate at youth level and Shevchenko/Aasne should dominate at junior level, on the men’s side it looks more open.

RBU

Norway

France

Switzerland

Austria

Ukraine

Italy

Greenland

Just my guesses.

Here is the team packet from the upcoming World Junior/Youth World Championship.

Looks like a limited stream for this event.

It looks like the Individual will not be streamed.  Possible Sprint, Pursuit and Relay's.

Too bad that there won’t be a free live stream. I prefer watching junior events because doping isn’t as big a problem at junior level.

Surprised about Greenland. I think at least one out of Sweden and Slovenia will medal.

Edit: After reading this I actually see a good chance for Slovenia to finish top 5 in medal table (by number of medals):

Cisar and Repinc seem to be special talents.

Interesting that there won’t be any Norwegians in the youth races tomorrow.

Looking at the start list of the women’s race I would predict at least one medal for Russia (thanks to their superior speed) and the other two medals should go to two out of Zingerle/Michelon/Repinc.

Result isn't final yet, plenty of girls to finish and she'll probably fall off the podium, but with 20/20 (the only one to do so after 53 of 99 girls) that's an excellent race for Ema Kapustova :cheer: @hckošice

    • Do you have any idea, when we will start seeing the official documents? I am quite curious to see the changes in the qualifications
    • I hope it was a typo and they mean mixed doubles.   Unless they bring back ranking points (they should regardless) I imagine the team event will be sparsely attended. I just hope players declining to participate won't spread to the singles/doubles events.
    • mixed Team 10m Air Pistol   Gold:  China 2 (Ma Qianke & Zhang Yifan) Silver:  China 1 (Yao Qianxun & Hu Kai) Bronze:  India 1 (Inder Singh Suruchi & Saurabh Chaudhary)   Full Results & Rankings https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/3268/results
    • Also this from a journalist friend who asked the IOC about whether the mixed tennis event would be mixed doubles or a mixed team event. Simple answer - they don't know yet. The ITF are still to decide
    • The tennis would likely be the United Cup format. 1 singles mens match, 1 singles womens and the mixed, best of three.   Which if this is the case, it would be impossible to make players compete in a team event, singles and doubles in only one week (and especially coming from the grass to hard).   Due to this is very likely that tennis could go for 2 complete weeks, which if that happen we will see a lot of players not playing the olympics, which is not good. 2 weeks without playing for the points and money of the professional tour is impossible except for the top 10-20.   The only good is that in the LA dates there are no big tournaments, only 250, and the olympics could be a preparation for the US/Canada month ending in the US open so players will not have the excuse of the surface like last year.
    • To point out a mistake in the document. They say Artistic Swimming is back to being a women only sport. That is not true, men are still allowed to compete
