Very poor Performance from Simon so far! It already has been shown in Wiesbaden and at France Championships that she is far a way from fast skiing, but that was so terrible These two Days. In My opinion she would not even make the Relay Team (Bescond - Brasiaz - Chevalier C. - Chevalier A.). That‘s so dissapointing After Last Season.

She reminds me a lot To Marie Laure Brunet. Fast and Good shooting, But so Slow on Skis.

By the way Great Performance from Anais Chevalier. Last Race in March 2019 and today fourth fastest ski Time. I‘m impressed ... could be the leading french Women this year, because Braisaz‘s shooting Time is ...

I was kind of expecting Simon to be the leader of the team since she's shown good consistency throughout last season (even catching a win in the end) and considering Braisaz lack of precision ... also she's not that slow, of course not as fast as Braisaz and others but nevertheless 11th mean speed last season (on par with H.Oeberg and before Tandrevold, Fialkova ...)

But her performances so far are quite disappointing, even her shooting fell apart today, which is not what you want to do when your speed is that disastrous.

As for A.Chevalier, I was very eager to see whether she could produce Marie Dorinesque performances post-pregnancy. It seems she's in shape and her ability to shoot well is not the most concerning, so maybe the best surprise of the season on the French side

Good shooting by Clair Egan, 0+0 but 1:34 behind.  She normally gets faster as the season progresses.  Reid Missed 3, and so did Dunklee.  That makes 8 misses for Dunklee in 6 shooting rounds.  Not a great way to start the season. She has had some of her best results in Finland so this is disappointing.

Swiss do much better overall.  Selina Gasparin with one miss for 17th, her sister in 20th shooting clean.  Elisa misses one and 47th with Haecki missing 2 to finish 47th and last for the Swiss women, because their 5th start, Irene Cadurisch, who spends most of her time on the IBU Cup, missed 1, and finished in 30th.  She was 1:42 behind while Haecki was 2:09.  Ski speed was about the same.  So frustrating.  Much better day overall for the Swiss women.

Great to see an Estonian in the top 10.

Poor :LAT Ieva Puce finished 103rd out of 104 with a 10/10 shooting. That's like really bad! :wall:  Latvians can't wait to have Baiba Bendika back?

Luckily for Latvia she has fairly mild symptoms so shouldn't fall back too much before rejoining the World Cup in (probably) Hochfilzen.

Is there any way to get the ski times in order from best to worst in the races or is it mannual calculation of each athlete?

I assume you are talking about at Datacenter.  If that is the case, you can sort of do this by clicking the top row of "shooting"  or "t"  that will help you see who shot clean, etc.  But I do not know a way to get the ski times only on that.

Those can only be accurately counted for the Individual 20k & 15k races where they add one minute for every missed shot.  They definitely showed those on screen on Saturday.

For all other races, coaches & athletes generally reckon 25 seconds per miss, (but it’s probably 22-27 depending on the athlete) so that gives you a quick approximate measure.

If you can do some Excel magic, extract & add together the three loop times, which excludes shooting times & penalty loops altogether. That would be the most precise.

just go to the data center, select the race of your interest and choose the "competition analysis" among the available reports...

https://biathlonresults.com/

there you can find all the details you're looking for taken from the athletes' transponder (official timing)...
