Rather slow night now with only ice hockey, so had the chance to write my traditional NBC joke for the first time these Olympics I got what your implying of course -
O'Neill with her first of the Olympics to put Canada in the lead just over 5 minutes in! Right after killing off a 5 on 3 PK, wouldn't have been possible without Fast though good hustle from her to drive to the net and set up O'Neill for the rebound -

Feels like that's happens a lot in the last few Olympics. And it definitely seems counter-intuitive to do so -
Maderova was finishing top 7 in most events this season, surely not? Ledecka was definitely the heavy favourite, almost always blitzes through the field whenever she competes in. Prevc has been almost equally if not equally as dominant as Ledecka, but Tomasiak has performed much worse this season. But this is the ski jumping thread, not going into too much here

Mmmm, Maderova had 3 podiums this season and is running 5th in the World Cup. Tomasiak is doing way worse in ski-jumping and had he won, it would have been a bigger surprise.
