I guess it will be 2 groups of 3 teams, group winners to the semis, 2nd and 3rd ranked still advance to "quarterfinals"

I'm hoping that the format is to accommodate the MLB players. The timing of it coincides with what would usually be the All-Star break so maybe they can squeeze it in without disrupting the baseball season.

The IGF already announced what the schedule would be before this, the men's event is from day 5 to day 8, the mixed team event is on days 9 and 10, practice day for the women on day 11 and the women's event on day 12 to 15.

Im also very happy theres more things happening before opening ceremony.  Especially canoe slalom, I love that one.

It will either be the men's or women's 4x100m medley relay. That is *always* what World Aquatic ends meets with.

Maybe the mixed team event is one set, best of 3 matches

 

Or reduced matches, with no advantage and sets to 3 or 4 games

I don't think we even know if it will be a mixed team event or a "revamped" mixed doubles event yet.

true, i expect a team event anyways
