I believe all those provisional will have their invites accepted if they get one. I might be wrong but athletes think anyone announced today who misses out will be because they didn’t get an invite,

Yes, I think you are right - this time we have decided to take everyone who has qualified on WA rankings, haven't created any extra obstacles of our own.

But even then there will still be some reshuffling because smaller nations don't always have the budget to take the No23 ranked shot putter etc.

Think Bekah Walton is the only one to miss out who will get an invite, also what happened to Lizzie Bird, Charlotte Payne and Callum Wilkinson - did they all get injured or summat?

Not too sure, she might've done - but I'm pretty sure the other 2 are still going so not sure why they're not selected to still go.

So...for the first time I had a look at the timetable.....and we in Europe have it pretty easy!  :smoke:

  1. Only a small number of overnight sessions
  2. "Evening" sessions lasting from mid morning to early afternoon
  3. Apart from the Road Events, no stupid finals in Morning Sessions!
  4. Plenty of catch-up time at a reasonable hour
  5. Plenty of time for morning shopping, exercise etc before vegging out in front of the TV

Was preparing for a State of Siege, but life will be almost normal.

Sadly this is the weakest Polish athletics WCH team for years,

We stiil may get some medals at European level, we were 2nd in euro team competition this year. But there will be no medals for us in Tokyo, I'm afraid.

And I'm already tired with this nonsense interviews with not-so-good Polish athletes interrupting live TV transmission all the time... There will be plenty of them.
