Athletics WA World Championships 2025

Kovacs can't get a Diamond League wild card because Ryan Crouser already has the U.S. wild card for winning World Championships in 2023. Now if Crouser's elbow injury keeps him out of worlds, and Kovacs wins the DL Final, I don't what happens then.

Crouser's wild card has priority over the DL winner's, but if he's not competing for any reason, then the USA can use the WC from the DL (if they get it, it might be also another guy, not necessarily Kovacs)

Hopefully athletics WCH will be as good as swimming WCH this year.

good thing is no eurovision sports app needed this time, we can watch it on TV here even if there will be probably no Polish athletics medal and we had one in swimming

and we will have a little sign of how great Tokyo Olympics could have been if we had all the fans in the stadiums…

Olympic finalist Rachid Muratake improved the Japanese 110m hurdles record to 12.92 (0.6m/s), achieving the second-fastest time of the season at the Athlete Night Games in Fukui on Saturday (16).

Making a statement as his nation prepares to host the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 from 13-21 September, the 23-year-old Asian champion launched himself to joint 11th on the world all-time list. Only USA’s Cordell Tinch, with his world lead of 12.87 from May, has gone faster this year.

Breaking 13 seconds for the first time, Muratake is now the sole Japanese record-holder, having previously shared the national record of 13.04 with Shunsuke Izumiya. That means he now sits alone at second on the Asian all-time list, behind only Liu Xiang of China, who clocked the Asian record of 12.88 in 2006.

Today is the last day of Road to Tokyo rankings window, am I right? I'm very interested in how the final rankings look.

Yesterday, in fact. Although wildcards available for DL winners.
