:CHN China have come much more prepared this time in badminton. After winning only 2 events in the past two Olympics, now they could get 3, even 4. Only the men's singles is out of their reach for me.

I think Shi Yu Qi has more chance to win the gold then Chen Yu Fei. Or do you see Victor winning his second gold?

Yes, i have Axelsen going over Shi Yuqi if they meet in the final. Even Antonsen could give him a run for his money in the 1/2. I think the Danes are a bit awkward opponents for him.

Women's singles is of course far from certain, but if i had to choose which one China could win, i would pick the women.

And our streak of having atleast one SF in each BWF World Championship/Olympics continues. Last time we didn’t have one was in 2010 Paris World Championships.

Well, Shi just got demolished by Vitidsarn, so there won't even be a showcase with the Danes :d

Antonsen could also have a tough time today with Lee Zii Jia

Did not expect that.
Maybe we will not get a Chinese gold medallist in the women's also. An Se Yeong just seems better to me than Chen. Maybe Carolina too (hopefully not).

    • If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.

    • Holdener beat Aicher for 2nd place by 0.04 so Aicher has to win the last GS to have any chance for the overall (trails Shiffrin by 85 pts).
    • Shiffrin wins by 1.32 secs! Business as usual
    • Anna Trocker takes the lead despite a big mistake. Maybe there is some future for  alping skiing
    • Lucas seems to be on another level in Giant Slalom right now.
    • Pinheiro Braathen wins the last GS and the small globe! Odermatt DNF in the first run and he's really tailed off in the last races.
