In my book I think Evans and Hanlon both get selected (assuming the medley relay is given the green light)

I will be surprised if it is given the green light baring it could be a fair bit out of the target.  However that doesn’t mean others will go - it might just be a team of 27-29

I tend to think they will take into account Evan's morning time as she has now swum this time twice. Pressure on Anna to make the decision easier though!

Given that the main objective for these games was to qualify all relays, I'd be surprised if they didn't accept all of them even if we miss the time by a small amount in a couple.

If that was the case why bother to have those times anyway.

Disappointing from Evans going that slow in the finals, but I reckon they'll take the heat swim more into consideration for the relay which will get her on the team. As for Hanlon, I think this could be curtains for her.

Conversely, for me I think this is the swim that gets Hanlon on to the team. She only had the OCT for the 200 breast but in the 100 she got the OQT.

Hopkin needs to swim 52.69 for the medley relay to get in. Bizarrely, Mixed medley is already safe as the FMFM version squeaks under consideration time

I will be surprised if someone finishing second with a OQT goes. If Peaty doesn’t need a relay backup I’m not sure any relay does.

But Peaty does need a relay backup... and he's going to get one.

    • I'm all in favor of this and it was about time. Wrestling has become table tennis 2.0 and in some cases even worse. In European Championships from 20 wrestlers in a weight you were seeing 7-8 foreigners. Yes, it's mostly Russians, but there are also Ukrainians, Georgians, Cubans being naturalized.    I've said it numerous times, that i don't approve the tactic our federation started of naturalizing people left and right. Which actually wasn't paying off that much, until the Olympics. If it leads to worse results, than it's just a wakeup call for the destruction of our wrestling system (which has been evident for 15 years).

    • New season streams are posted for the weekend if you need to get your schedule organised.     Remember, it's a double bill from Pyeongchang  on Saturday and Sunday this weekend, then a single race from  next weekend. No bobsleigh yet, so I guess they will get double races with no skeleton later in the season.      There were two Asian Cup races on the Pyeongchang track last weekend, and another scheduled for tomorrow, so no excuses for poor performance, everybody should be used to it by now.     IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton - YouTube

    • So here we are....pre-season races ready to go.  Always important for the big teams to get some last minute promotions for the first trio of pre-Christmas World Cup races, or even for club skiers to get some kind of promotion into a professional training group.      races on Saturday and Sunday morning.  Usually these are globally free to air live, although you sometimes have to wander round a bit to find the right link.   Sport - NRK TV

Then Pinheiro Braathen has another chance in the Levi slalom on Sunday.
