Thank you very much, Near.

It is important to us. Spain is a small country in the world swimming (8 Olympic medals in history, half of Mireia) and is very important to encourage children to swim.

Haha, I don't think Byron McDonald (our commentator) realized he was still on air.  "That Chinese swimmer went out like a rocket and sank like a pig.  Thanks for that!"

:d

EDIT: Sorry, Byron, not Brian.

Hahahahahaha

CBC just formally apologized for this comment.

Disgusting results in mens 200 breast and womens 100 free. I am happy for Belmonte and Chalmers.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Yes disgusting... You start to bore me. Is possible that you resent every single result in every sport?

In the meantime they win and give emotions and you criticize from your sofa.

They have World and Olympic record and you?

Yeah, your poor english also bores me, but i dont say anything, because its off-topic and the same can be said about your comment here.

By the way: The winner of mens 200 breast neither has a world record nor an olympic record, please at least try to get your facts right the next time before you write. :yes

Well, my english is poor, it's right, but my brain work good. My reasoning was generic and not for the 200m breaststroke.

I won't lose other time whit you. I'll start to ingnore, It is the best method against ignorance and presumption.

Yes, finally you got that your comment was off-topic. I think its best for both of us if you just ignore me in the future, then i wont have to deal with your nonsensical comments anymore.

By the way: Generic?  Your brain really seems to work (remember) well ... at least most of the time. :yes

Interesting question: You said that they (those i criticized) have olympic/world records, but that cant be said about Balandin, so doesnt one counterexample prove you wrong? :mumble:

Lets just assume that you werent talking about Balandin (Which is weird, because i only mentioned mens 200 breast and womens 100 free ... So you just excluded 50% of the athletes i talked about?), otherwise you probably should have said that MOST of them have olympic/world records.

    • Wrestling will have a completely new format, I do not like the changes. ranking isn't really a good idea in this sport, this will force wrestlers to compete in so many events to collect points. which is not good for their health. specially with the current UWW ranking points distribution system which is plain stupid   they are also gifting 18 quotas to very weak countries by that last qualification event. but I understand their point of view. can't wait to see lots of Russian wrestlers compete for weak countries for that 1 available quota.
    • Canoe Slalom Quotas from men's/women's K1 have been moved to men's/women's KX1. K1 will now have 14 quotas while KX1 will have 10 quotas. C1 remains at 17 quotas. Athletes may participate in other events up to a maximum of 2 athletes per NOC.   The World Championship qualifier has been dropped in favour of the Olympic Qualification Rankings (7 K1, 10 C1, 3 KX1), afterwards you have the Continental Qualifiers (1 per boat) and then a new Global Qualifier (2 per boat).   There were a few changes regarding ways to ensure an athlete can only obtain 1 quota. The biggest being at each stage the boat priority is K1 > KX1 > C1 for the rankings and KX1 > K1 > C1 for the continental/global qualifiers. This basically means if the same athlete qualifiers in multiple boats then the quota will be given to the kayak over canoe.
    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
    • In Rome, it would be useful to roof the swimming pool complex at Foro Italico, possibly with the option of retracting the roof and covering the tennis court complex. Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA

    • impossible, there are not enough venues in both towns and I mean, Milan doesn't have an Olympic Stadium, a decent Tennis Complex and a big Swimming Complex (not to mention the sea) Rome, on the other hand, doesn't have a Rowing/Canoeing Basin nor arenas and stadiums for the team sports beyond football and rugby there's no chance that all those venues would be built from scratch, meanwhile if we use both cities we already have almost everything we need, especially the most expensive and controversial sites
