A couple of interesting observations/stats from the entries section of the results system, which I imagine are subject to change over the next few days.

Youngest athlete: 13 years old (squash)

Oldest athlete: 68 years old (archery)

9/10 of the youngest athletes are female

8/10 of the oldest athletes are male

111 athletes are older than The World Games themselves (as judged to the opening date of The World Games 1981).

28 athletes were born after The World Games 2009 (as judged from the closing date of July 26, 2009).

Chengdu 2025: 114 National Organizations

Birmingham 2022: 99 National Organizations

Wroclaw 2017: 102 National Organizations

Looking at the oldest Dutch athletes, I feel like tug-of-war is quite the old people's activity :d

Also thanks for the reminder, I was planning to ask maybe 2 days off next week (for this week it's too late, dumb, but for next week could be possible) so I can finally actually follow the World Games for the first time since...2017? Or the one before, maybe? :d

Aw, first athlete I checked in the results system had a photo with a smile. Why is that allowed for the World Games, but not for the Olympic Games? :(

My dad took @brunamoura's official accreditation photo for (hopefully) Cortina 2026, but those rules clearly said smiling wasn't allowed

Just for those who know the difference - they are playing what we in the Empire call French billiards ie small table, no pockets, just score by caroms only.

Is there a way to have the schedule filter by nation, just like the olympics ?

I don't see that option at the moment.

So the current full link to the results system is this:

https://www.theworldgames.org/editions/Chengdu-CHN-2025-14/infosystem#//twg2025.swisstiming.com/hide

Which would suggest that you can get to the system itself, not embedded within the World Games website, with this part:

twg2025.swisstiming.com/hide

That works...for two seconds, then it changes to a notifcation saying you have no permission :p

Anyone else who gets the same? I'm trying to get a page with just the results system, so there's no part of the screen used up by the World Games website itself.

There's also this one, but there the entire layout is fucked :d
