A good news hopefully comfort the anxiety.

The joint vaccine development of a Chinese biotech company and the army made a breakthrough today. They received the permit to conduct clinical trials and begin to publicly recruit volunteers. Also they claimed ready for mass production.

The company is CanSino Biologists which is a Hong Kong listed company. It’s supposed to publish any breakthrough made to the public.

Hope this vaccine will be good enough to cure Corona Virus.

Be careful with good news shows about vaccines though. It's not like it goes from 'first breakthroughs' to 'millions available' in only 2-3 months. That takes a good while.

The first test shots has been done in USA as well and many other companies are hoping to start soon. But that's still very early meaning that we'll most likely have nothing before next year (unless some serious corners are cut, and then I would not feel sure about them!). It's good to hear that a lot is happening, but we still have to get through this wave!

World Champion Hassan Yazdani’s father has been tested positive for Coronavirus as the pandemic continues to play havoc globally including Iran. Hossein Yazdani has been quarantined for a few days after he was diagnosed positive for the deadly virus. Hossein is now recovering well and will be discharged from the hospital in the coming days.

Since Hasan has been living with his father at his Juybar, Mazandaran Province, reports suggest that the 2016 Rio Olympic gold medallist might also be infected with COVID-19. An official update on Hassan’s health, however, is yet to be announced.

The 74kg Men’s Freestyle World No.1 has been living with his father ever since Iran Wrestling Federation had cancelled its national camp

Also today was the first day with the mandatory wearing of face masks in all offices, public transport vehicles, hospitals and still open stores this should help the spread a bit, pitty it took so long for this measure to be applied

Where do you guys get all those face masks? Here I'm glad the general public isn't wearing them, because there's a massive shortage and especially healthcare workers need them much more than the average person :yikes:

    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
