Wonderful World Championships, and it was very nice to follow it with reading all Totallympics users comments! :yes:clap:

And well done to all the Hungarian & other fans who turned out to keep the stadium full.

Overall a great event. Several outstanding athletes, some up and comers to watch for next year and some excellent finals throughout the week. Great TV

A lot of purists will disagree, but removing the medal ceremonies from the main stadium has proven a brilliant idea. Those countries who want to show them absolutely can, but the flow of the event is significantly better for not stopping constantly for 49 anthems. This was a noticeably 'tight' championships - and seems to have hit a good sweet spot with a lot of casual fans too. Coe has said that this 'experiment' has ensured that ceremonies will probably never be in the main stadium again for a World or Europeans (though probably will stay for Olympics). They will now always be separate, and countries who want to see them - i.e. the medalists countries - still can.

Femke's fall and redemption have, perversely, really helped make the mixed 4x4 feel like an important event for the first time. The racing, largely, has been fantastic, with genuine uncertainty in most events.

All in all solid 8.5-9 out of 10

So with the flurry of world championships and Olympic quotas over, we can all have a week to relax watching the US Open ready for the Rowing World Championships next week right?

Absolutely no, we have the (amazing) jumping European championship in Milan :p

I really enjoyed these championships.

Politics aside (because I have some real problems with the current Hungarian government) I think Budapest is in a pretty good spot to win a 2036 Olympic bid if they want to go for it, with two very successful aquatic worlds and now there athletics worlds going so well.

Yep, although September is another really busy month in terms of qualification. Things get a litle bit more sedate after that for a few months.

Then we finally go full-on into the winter season though :hyper:

Now that you mention it...did they even have medal ceremonies? :yikes:

Bit of a shame it wasn't part of the program at all, but if they'd do it the next day like the weird trend seems to be, it doesn't really matter anyway since the emotions aren't fresh anymore anyway then :p

I do agree the championships in itself was, as per usual, a fantastic week of athletics :cheer:

    • (Quiet gaming, zero social pressure, no calls, no KYC… just peace.) As someone who’s definitely on the introverted side, I’ve always hated anything that feels intrusive — long registrations, support calls, verification uploads, or sites that spam you into interacting. So over the past year, I tested a bunch of crypto casinos specifically to see which ones are introvert-friendly: ✔ no forced KYC ✔ fast payouts (so no long back-and-forth with support) ✔ clean, quiet UI ✔ no pop-ups and no social pressure ✔ easy deposits ✔ minimal interaction needed Below is what actually worked for me. ⭐ My Top Crypto Casinos for Introverts (Real Testing Results) Casino Why It’s Introvert-Friendly Speed Link JackBit Quiet UI, no KYC, instant payouts 7 min 👉 Play at JackBit BetWhale Low-pressure bonuses, simple layout 14 min 👉 Play at BetWhale BitStarz Fast cashouts, no forced conversations 9 min 👉 Play at BitStarz ThunderPick Clean minimalist design 18 min 👉 Play on ThunderPick 7Bit Casino Extremely chill, no notifications 22 min 👉 Play at 7Bit 1. JackBit – The Most Comfortable Casino for Quiet Players If you’re introverted like me, JackBit is basically perfect. No popups, no aggressive promos, no forced messages — just a clean interface and silent, fast gameplay. My experience as an introvert: I deposited and withdrew without any human interaction No KYC requests (crypto only) The layout is simple and not socially “loud” Withdrawals landed in under 10 minutes It’s the casino I keep coming back to simply because nothing bothers me.   👉 Play at JackBit (Zero Social Pressure) 2. BetWhale – Best for Quiet Bonus Hunters BetWhale surprised me — their bonuses are generous without requiring chats, emails, or ID checks. Why it works for introverts: Wagering progress updates silently No pushy pop-ups The whole site feels “low-pressure” Support never contacts you unless you message first It’s a very low-interaction platform.   👉 Play at BetWhale (Smooth & Simple) 3. BitStarz – Fast Payouts Means Less Interaction BitStarz is great if you want to deposit, play, withdraw and leave — quick and efficient, no conversations needed. What I like: Withdrawals are some of the fastest online No random KYC prompts if you use crypto Very stable gameplay (no need to contact support) A calm, mature-feeling interface Perfect for players who like things to “just work.”   👉 Play at BitStarz (Quick & Quiet Gaming) 4. ThunderPick – Best for Introverts Who Like Betting Too ThunderPick has one of the smoothest, cleanest interfaces I’ve used. Everything is intuitive and visually quiet — no clutter, no noise. Introvert-friendly perks: Great for casual betting without chat rooms Mobile interface is extremely calm No forced community features You can switch between casino & sports without talking to anyone     👉 Play on ThunderPick (Minimalist Interface) 5. 7Bit – The Chillest, Quietest Crypto Casino 7Bit feels like a casino designed for people who want to be left alone. Why I recommend it: No aggressive marketing No forced KYC unless you use fiat Huge game library with silent browsing Simple cashier with no need for support interactions It’s a very relaxed environment.   👉 Play at 7Bit (Totally Low-Pressure) Final Thoughts — The Introvert’s Casino Shortlist If you want a quiet, private gaming experience without feeling watched, talked to, or pressured: 🏆 Best Overall for Introverts: JackBit 🏆 Best Quiet Bonus Experience: BetWhale 🏆 Fastest Stress-Free Payouts: BitStarz 🏆 Best Minimalist UI: ThunderPick 🏆 Most Chill Game Library: 7Bit
    • It's not a coincidence that a lot of the matches that are earlier in the day are in Atlanta and Houston and Dallas where they have roofs.  And most of the games in the outdoor stadiums are later in the day.
    • The best athletes will all be there anyway – it's easier to get a spot in the top 10-15. Only the great champions were ahead of Gismondi today.
    • They are not "oppressed enough" to be mention here.
    • And remember the Olympic Paradox - it is slightly easier to get a medal at the Olympics than at a World Cup because in the Olympics the numbers of racers from the powerful nations are capped at 4.
    • Jimmy Mariano  basketball. 84 years old.   Member of the Philippine men’s basketball team at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Flag bearer for the Philippine delegation at those Games.
    • Franchi had a similarly impressive performance at the 2023 World Championships on the same distance but later she completly missing. I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
    • The last day was a great success, for first. Secondly, even 20 medals are fewer than the 22 from 2023 and 34 from 2021
