I reckon Senegal isn't the most luxurious location, so there is still time for them to withdraw from the other sports as well, because "reasons" and "reasons". Now if this was in say Rome or Sydney, now that's a different beer.

Its the timing apparently but both sports competed around the same time in Buenos Aires.

The timing? That's just such an odd reason in a year in the middle of the Olympic cycle and with no senior world championships. Sure, youth/junior world championships, but as an athlete I'd certainly prefer Youth Olympics.

Also, I see TBD in the OP for the dates, but there actually are dates already (yes, already, because I thought that wouldn't happen until spring of 2026 ).
