  1. Women Handball Olympic qualifiers and Women Basketball Euroleague Final Four semis today (both on YouTube)
  2. Concacaf Women Gold Cup quarter finals and Pakistan Super League cricket for me this weekend. Rest of the time needed for 😴 so I pretty much missed anything else.
  3. Concacaf Women's Gold Cup tonight. Watched Paraguay upset Costa Rica with a pace change in 2nd half and right now crowed supported El Salvador tries to get something out of their match against Canada in Group C fixture in Houston . PS: Canada only needed a few minutes while I post this, to increase its advantage to 3-0 so I guess no more a contest this match.
  4. Did NBA switch to darts for a change? East - West 211 - 186
  5. What a pity for Jordan. They had great chances and imagine the impact if that ball placed with the heel would have found the net! But of course the refs made more than possible that Qatar would win. One thing though I don't understand. Are Iraq and Jordan that much rivals in football? Because I suspect there is a certain amount of rivalry between every Arab nation but this as you put it it means more than that to me.
  6. Much awaited final! These two giants have never met in a Cup of Nations final or 3rd place match. Will Nigeria prevail again as in the early group stage match? This will certainly be a lot harder for them than back on January 18th with the hosts backed by confidence and the entire nation.
  7. What an interesting final! Jordan reached here for the first time while Qatar looking to repeat the glory they took last edition. And only the 3rd All-Arab final at the championships so far. Heartbreaking for Iran as I think almost everybody have seen them as champions. I am routing for Jordan since they are my favorite West Asian team since more than two decades ago.

  9. Great job Jordan ! Unbelievable! Iran now look even more like this edition champions even if it won't be easy tomorrow.
  10. Looking forward for the 3rd round of the Luge World Cup, starting from 9:00 CET tomorrow in Germany. All on YouTube.
  11. I guess no big surprises, except for England having a terrible tournament. And of course West Indies not participating.
  12. What a great day for Virat Kohli as he scored 101 not out on his 35th birthday!
  13. At least they do not make statements about fighting for religious values and planning to send an astronaut in space at the same time
  14. Sometimes betting on a cricket match seems hazardous but truth is I feared an upset from Bangladesh today. Instead, it would have been easy money
  15. Over the weekend I watched some quarters and semifinals of the ISU Short Track Skating World Cup in Montreal live on YouTube but failed to watch any finals.

  17. I think you are looking at a massive win for South Africa right now. They've scored 399 in their inning and England is struggling 145/8 after 20.3 overs. It is a matter of time until they are bowled out.
  18. At this run rate from Sri Lanka in the 2nd innings (153 runs and 7 wickets with 188 balls remaining), the Netherlands can not produce another surprise. In the other match of the day, South Africa is building a solid 192 runs after 30 overs in the first innings.
  19. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli - players from the old guard
  20. I was cheering for Hyderabad Sunrisers some years ago when IPL was live on Youtube. Too bad those free live coverage times are history. I also followed the Division structures of international cricket, of course most of those countries without OD status. Oh yes, and my team in Battrick is in the West Indies which I chose over the Scotland or Netherlands simply because they have a First Class championship and The Netherlands doesn't have. Also, the OD and FC matches in India were played in the morning here in Romania while I could follow live match text commentary if located in the Caribbeans during afternoon and evening hours at my local time.

  22. So, there've been 12 "centuries" so far at this World Cup. South Africa has managed 3 against Sri Lanka and one against Australia. New Zealand scored 2 in the opening against England. England had one against Bangladesh and India benefit from Rohit Sharma against Afghanistan. Interesting, both Pakistan and Sri Lanka had 2 "centuries" in their match. However, scoring over 100 points is not as excited as in T20 I think. India must win tomorrow against Bangladesh to match New Zealand perfect record so far.
  23. Great result for the Netherlands It makes me forget West Indies are not there.
