Cross-Country Skiing at the Nordic Skiing FIS World Championships 2023

Fun fact, Frida Karlsson finished 5th in her very first WCH race ever in 2019. Since that race then she has never missed missed medal in any of the 8 individal WCH races. But still not a gold.

I've been a fan of team Norge for 15 years, but evident from these Championships (and the season) is that i really miss Bolshunov.

Does anybody know, what were times of Russians and Belarussians in their own Championships, which were held simultaneous?

and one Japanase as well :d

According to some of the skiiers GPS watches, the 50km was in fact only 45 km. But of course that is still 17 km longer than the olympic 50 km last year.

another, maybe off topoc, news is that Frida Karlsson and William Poromaa announced their breakup as a couple the day after Williams medal.

Which I suspected already a few minutes before I read it, when I realized Frida didn't post anything about Williams medal at Instagram while sharing posts from Linn Svahn and liking other skiiers posts.

I guess the medium-distance thing didn't work out for them after all. I mean, they decided to live apart in different Swedish places to both focus on their respective training programs better, so one can hardly call it 'long-distance', but surely it can't have been easy.

Or of course they decided to go live apart for other reasons and living apart isn't the reason, but the consequence, who knows :p

Edit: did a quick look and...did they just delete everything about each other from each other's Instagram? :d
