Popular Post heywoodu 11,883 Posted February 18 Popular Post #5 Share Posted February 18 (edited) Our very own @brunamoura has arrived in Slovenia today, where she'll make her comeback after surviving the car crash on the way to the Olympics a year ago. Bit of a tense morning, because she had to go by a transfer arranged through GetTransfer, again, just like she was more or less forced to do last year due to the circumstances (this time the Brazilian van was full with the rest of the Brazilian athletes and a few non-Brazilians, so there was no space anymore). The reason for that being a tense thing of course being how it went so very wrong last year, so stepping into a hired taxi van was understandably a bit of a....tense moment. Luckily this time, as logic would of course expect, nothing happened and she arrived safely in Slovenia, all good! Next up: try to find someone to wax the ski's these days, light trainings to keep the shape and get the energy level to competition level and then on Wednesday, it's the big moment...the 5k freestyle! Vamos Edited February 18 by heywoodu Sindo, maestro, phelps and 12 others 13 2 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Vamos So much looking forward to race!!! And... It seems like finding someone to prepare my skis won't be a problem as this time FIS will provide a "neutral support" for small teams with specialized staff preparing our skis 😱😍 *(just heard it from Jaque) Vamos!!! 🚀🚀 Wumo, justony, hckošice and 21 others 19 1 3

brunamoura 228 Posted February 19 #8 Share Posted February 19 Would anyone here be interested on watching the 5km and Sprint races (perhaps also the Team Sprint)? Someone who lives here in Slovenia, for example? I will get two tickets for free (still need to confirm if two per event which I will start or two in total for these events) and I would be glad to give it away

If I start in the Team Sprint, I may also get 1 or 2 free tickets, so I can give you one for this event. Sadly we get tickets only for the days we are going to compete. But about competing in the Team Sprint, I will decide latest after tomorrow justony
justony 401 Posted February 20 #10 Share Posted February 20 SLOVENIA MIha Šimenc Vili Črv Anže Gros Izidor Karničar Boštjan Korošec Miha Ličef Jošt Mulej Eva Urevc Anja Mandeljc Neža Žerjav Anita Klemenčič Klara Mali Nika Ljubič Lucija Medja Medal history: 2 silver, 3 bronze / Total: 5 medals Sapporo 2007: 2. Petra Majdič - Sprint C Oslo 2011: 3. Petra Majdič - Sprint F Seefeld 2019: 2. Katja Višnar / Anamarija Lampič - Team Sprint Oberstdorf 2021: 3. Anamarija Lampič - Sprint C 3. Eva Urevc / Anamarija Lampič - Team Sprint After Lampič decided to compete in biathlon, CC skiing team has much less potential for great success in front of home crowd. But let us not forget Eva Urevc this year achieved real progress in distance with some top 10 results, also Anja Mandeljc. Urevc is still really capable to attack final in Sprint, where everything is possible. Sprints are most powerful factor also in men's site, but to be honest every top 10 result from any CC skier from Slovenia would be huge deal. Too bad Planica could not host WCH few years back, when the likes of Majdič, Fabjan, Višnar and Lampič could bring home much better results. maestro
