Dutch TV just call it quits before the final race for some interviews concerning the womens Tour de France. Well..

Meanwhile the whole tv broadcast was scheduled as Tour de France Femmes, so I was looking for the swimming livestream and only realised it was on tv later on.

Phelps was WR holder in the 400 IM for 21 years, which is the longest consecutive time for a person to hold a WR in any singular discipline (long course) in history.

The Australian women have been capable of an eye-popping WR like that for a number of years based on best times/splits but they were never all on form/executed at the same time.

And another massive WR :p

I know in athletics it's the shoes in middle and longer distances especially these days, what is the thing in swimming? Is it the suits that always keep improving that much, considering the massive amount of WR's we so often see specifically in swimming?

I mean, it's just the nature of swimming that the times are constantly improving. Technological advancement in general impacts swimming far more than athletics.
