It was such a wonderful night for me. I am in Fukuoka watched today's matches including prelims and finals on court. Just witnessed 3 WR, 3 AR, one medal and one relay olympic quota for China. I am going to watch the finals on court in coming days. Hopefully so happy everyday. I am already in love with Fukuoka.

Timezone advantage for China and Australia 💪

And another massive WR :p

I know in athletics it's the shoes in middle and longer distances especially these days, what is the thing in swimming? Is it the suits that always keep improving that much, considering the massive amount of WR's we so often see specifically in swimming?

it's the Olympics! they're coming in 12 months...

Damn you Chalmers... Italy winning would have been amazing

it would have been undeserved...

I mean, all the guys did their best given the situation (especially Zazzeri, just coming off a long pause for a severe anaphylactic shock that could have cost him his life), but now we know that :GBR are by far the best now (and I fear they won't do anything stupid like Today in Paris)

for us this silver medal is already a really big achievement, but we need to improve a lot in the next 12 months if we want to try and get another Olympic medal in this kind of relay

on the other hand, the rest of the team is just a disaster...a series of epic fails...nobody getting even close to their best clockings

it's gonna be a really painful championship for us

    • Apparently this season will be last one in Kamil Stoch career if his results wont be enough good for his standards.
    • Such a nice one for Colturi ! That was fun. It almost looked like a script with the cameras focusing on Colturi a couple of times before her first run and showcasing the potential of youngster and she didn't disappoint.      I hope Colturi skis for Albania forever. So much fun to cheer her with the Albanian flag.    I don't get it why everyone is being so critical of Colturi, you got no right to criticize a personal decision, as most European nations use imported athletes in many sports like wrestling and cheer them on like their.   Would you spend hours criticizing Frank Chamizo for switching to Italy rather than playing for Cuba?

    • It may also be that Ceccerelli saw that the conditions in the Italian youth teams were very poor and that is why she insisted on setting up her own team (the results of young Italian skiers unfortunately confirm this). A private team will always be better than a team with 10-12 skiers with max. 3-4 coaches, a one doctor and a physiotherapist. Colturi is the only skier in her team and she has several coaches, a masseur, a doctor etc. Of course, it costs money, but since the parents are famous and have money + Red Bull got involved. I don't understand why she can't start for Italy again? Red Bull should care more that Colturi starts in Cortina under the Italian flag than the Albanian one + Red Bull, as a brand, always has a bigger sales market in Italy with a population of 60 million than in small Albania. I hope that this can still be reversed by next year. For this we need talks between the federation + Colturi's parents + Red Bull + possibly the Italian Olympic Committee. Colturi may be a skier equal to Brignone or even better in the future. We can't lose her, so we have to do now!
    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
