I really wished no more of this because even Chinese badminton accounts are constantly posting this and forget the role of their account

According to our media, this is all Australia's doing. :p

"New gold for Sun, Australian refused to congratulate."

Yeah King is such a dramaqueen. I mean, taking a stance against dopers, all fine, but her whole act is getting a little over the top. As in, way over the top.

Not a fan of Efimova, but I do find her so much less terrible than someone like Sun.

This is cold war approach again. I realize Efimova got away with some serious shit in the end but I dislike King as well. She's making way too much drama out of it. Sadly nobody seems to be capable of beating any of them right now. King strikes me as a very unlikeable person as well, she thinks she's the face of modern swimming or what?

Exactly, I'll be cheering for the first person who beats both of them, don't care about nationality. Boy I hope it's gonna be Atkinson :p

Atkinson seems to be doing better in 50/100 rather than 200 though? Or is it the other way around? And she failed badly in 100 already :finger:

Yeah, the shorter the better for Atkinson. I don't think she'll survive the 200.

“My victory was because of my hard work. I continued to keep fighting, I didn’t give up when I was in second place,” said Sun.

    • I mean to the end of an Era where there was very few wars with the consent of USA (in other case you dont have one) to start a new cold war, in the cold war you have "proxys wars" between the superpowers envolved, thats what i want to say, we are in the new cold war like  with the conflicts you mention.

    • Meant to ask this during the Olympics, but how many of you non-USA peeps are familiar with this song?  In case you don't know, this was written for the LA84 games by John Williams, renowned film score composer (Star Wars, Superman, Jurassic Park, etc.).  NBC now uses this all the time in their Olympic promos, intros, etc.   I had a friend who moved from the US to England, and when the Olympics came on, he commented that he missed this song.  So, perhaps this song is unknown to non-USers...but I have a sneaky suspicion that you Olympics nerds might have heard it.         Another one NBC uses (though I just learned myself that this was originally by French-American Leo Arnaud, called Bugler's Dream, dating back to the 1964 Tokyo games...apparently in 1996, John Williams combined it with Olympic Fanfare):      The combined version:   Edit: I'm hoping to make it to an athletics session at LA28 so I can be in the stadium where he directed the orchestra to perform this song during the Opening Ceremony.  Williams is still alive, and at 94, I hope he can hang in there two more years to see the Olympics return to LA and receive some honor.  He also composed music for Atlanta '96, and the opening theme of Summon the Heroes also gets used by NBC a lot:
