Very popular. We have large Eastern European populations across Canada.

Polish & Ukrainian diasporas in Canada are pretty even tbh. Obviously Wayne Gretzky is the Holy Graal :p We can claim like 5% of this guy too ;)

Here we go, the 1000 heats of the men's 50m freestyle.

And who finished in last place in the first heat... yeah, Equatorial Guinea :d home of swimming legends.

I'm surprised the guy from Palau had a 27 second mark.

He gives me hope.

Tonight Ruck will race the 100m free final and then have the 200m back SF two races later.  She was only 14th in the prelims, I wonder if she'll drop it to get ready for the last two relays.

THe Canadian 4x200 finished in a whopping 17th place. Just a decade ago they were winning medals in this event. Sad.

It is truly shocking the disparity between the Canadian men and women right now.  I mean, I'm happy our women have been doing so well, and look to actually be improving.  But how can the men be left so far behind?  Maybe Thormeyer and Pratt can rise a bit in the coming years.

    • With the Group Stage done in the final stop of the Challenger Series season, we know majority of the teams qualified to LA to play for the promotion to the 2025-26 SVNS.     In the Men`s, ,  and  qualified to the SF so therefore they are also qualified for LA. The 4th spot will be between and . The points difference is 2 points in favour of Chile, but Samoa qualified for the SF and Chile not. If the points awarded in this tournament is the same as the rest of the other events (its not clear yet),  will need a 2 position advantage, meaning that if they win one of the two matches they have tomorrow they will go to LA, or if they lose both matches and Chile lose at least one out of the two. In the case Samoa lose both and Chile wins both, there would be a tie (and i dont know the criteria there really).     In the Women`s, ,  and  qualified to the SF so therefore they are also qualified for LA. The 4th spot will be between  and . Colombia has the huge advantage with a 8 points difference. Thailand qualified for the SF. This means that  needs a 4 position difference for a tie and 5 to win. If  wins their first match tomorrow and  not,  qualifies. In case  wins too, the next match of each team is crucial, Thailand needs to win and Colombia to lose.
