Renan Gallina, a 18 years old brazilian ran 100m in 10,01s yesterday, it was the 5th best time ever in his category (u20).

I hope he will be the first brazilian :BRA ever to broke the 10s barrier.

  2.

Enjoying the early stages of this.  How is it that all amateur club athletes know that if you are being lapped, it’s your responsibilityto run into an outside lane & get out of the better runners’ way?

Yet hardly any elite professional Olympic athletes ever bloody well do it?  :stop::redcard:

News of the new mixed relay in walking.

The 22 best teams of the Antalya 2024 World Team Championships (April 20-21) qualify for Paris 2024

There will be no disqualifications for red cards but there will be time penalties for infringements.

At least only 5 NOCs can qualify two teams.

https://worldathletics.org/news/press-releases/world-athletics-council-competition-decisions

"Qualification pathway
- The Marathon Race Walk Mixed Relay will replace the 35km at the 2024 World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships in Antalya and the top 22 finishing teams in Antalya will qualify automatically for Paris.
- Up to five of the 22 teams can be a second team from the same country.
- Three additional teams (which cannot be from a country already qualified from Antalya) will qualify through the Marathon Race Walk Mixed Relay top performance lists during the qualification period (31 December 2022 to 30 June 2024)".
