Men's Ice Hockey Tournament at the Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022

John Murray shut-out with 70 shots...

Official report shows 46, which is still... a lot. Poland only had 19 shots.

Belarus can still probably qualify with two regulation wins (assuming Murray isn't randomly on the form of his life and Poland just takes this tournament) but it's definitively a terrible start for them.

Huh. I guess Polish TV’s definition of a shot is way different!

For official scoring I think they only count shots on target, that might account for the difference.

From what I watched of :SVK - :AUT (the third period), :SVK doesn't look *great* but beating :AUT in regulation, combined with :POL beating :BLR, puts them in a great position to qualify.

Austria 2:0 Belarus at the end of the first period.

If :BLR doesn't beat :AUT in regulation time and :SVK beats :POL today, Slovakia's 100% qualified, right? @hckošice

Wow there are a lot of Canadian-born Belarusians on the Belarusian team, I didn't realize Canadian emigration to Belarus was such a common thing :mumble:

Somebody on the team needs to understand the Canadian coach 😅😅
