Very understandable choice, I think almost anyone would go for one of the two biggest tournaments you can play as a player (continental + World Cup) over any junior event. And well, it worked out rather well :d

All in all solid tournament. Too bad Switzerland could not be the big surprise after solid games VS Germany and Italy.

Happy Spain won and almost as happy this England did not win given the tactics they used.

Great Sunday for Spain. They won EURO 2024 and Alcaraz won Wimbledon 2024:thumbup: Well deserved trophy for Spain, they were by far the best team from beginning to the end.

Congrats :ESP Best team of the tournament won the title.  I wish, we had played you later, but that's how it is.

And sorry for the booing against Cucrella, that was really embarassing.

But there is no such thing as a podium in a tournament like this, just like there isn't in a tennis Grand Slam or something.

England don`t have a winning mentality in football and I`m writing this from the perspective of 30 years, not just today's match. In turn, Spain, since the beginning of the 21st century, has undergone a real metamorphosis from an eternally unfulfilled team into real killers who win every final they enter (both national and club: Real, Barcelona, Sevilla, Atletico, etc.). I don't remember in the 21st century when Spain/a club from Spain lost a grand final: World Championship, European Championship, Champions League, Uefa/Europe League, etc. (they lost the Confederations Cup in 2013 to Brazil and the Olympic Games in 2021 + 2-3? clubs Super Cups but these are smaller tournaments).

According to this tweet 23 wins and no loses this century in big tournament finals.

In smaller tournaments we also lost the second edition of the Nations League against France.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
