Bulgaria qualified to 5 different World Cups before Stoichkov and only to 2 with him. Also we have 2 Olympic medals in football before him.

Still the generations of the last 15 years are without a doubt the worst in the 100+ history of our football.

Bulgaria at 90s wasn't only about Sotichkov, yes people mostly remember that Bulgaria by Stoichkov's fantastic free kicks but I'm quite sure I can still remember the name of most of Bulgaria 94 team members (almost all of the starters) without googling. and that Lechkov's header was one of the best football moments I remember :p

1994 World Cup was the first one I watched completely , I remember few things from 1990 WC but not much ( and watching a tournament few years later doesn't help you to create memories). and Bulgaria was involved in most of my memories from that WC (from Yekini tears or Mexican guy Bernal breaking the post). because of that Bulgaria was always one of my favorite football NTs, pity the results were never any good after that. but losing to Kosovo

Same here.

I remember few moments very vividly. First, final match and that Baggio miss.

Second, Russian (without Google, Salenko?) scoring 5 goals.

Bulgaria, Colombia and Nigeria were among teams expected to finish strong but only Bulgaria fullfiled high expectations.

Slovakia's performace was absolutely atrocious. it could have been 0:7, and it wouldn't have been undeservedly.

Yeah, I don´t know why, but I had here and there feelings we are like resting or what, because I can´t remember last time we showed so impressive misery like tonight  we´ll see in Budapest, if it was on purpose or we are seriously that bad :d

anyway, congrats that was one serious lesson from Croatia tonight for our guys

    • In general, our picture for a little over 1 year until the home games looks like this:     - the women's sector is still based on one Lollo, who is 3 years older than 2022, - the women's and men's sprint sector is based on one Bosa and possibly the young Pergher (0% possobility for medal in 2026), - Ghiotto has made a lot of progress and that is a big plus. It could result in even 3 medals, including 1/2 gold. Our team's performance also depends to a large extent on Ghiotto's form, - the rest of the men's team is basically unchanged. There is Giovannoni in the mass start, there is Malfatti in the longer distances, but they are not competitors on the podium of a major event.   I will repeat myself: if Ghiotto continues to make such progress, we will probably win 3 medals, 2 of which gold and it will be a success. If something doesn`t work out, an injury, illness, etc. (we know from Vitozzi that this can happen to anyone), then it could be very bad

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.
    • Yup, actually they have just some juniors pairs in the dance event
    • In bed with the flu and few hours of sleep, but at least the insomnia will let me watch the first World Cup stage
    • The news then is that she has not yet been arrested? I suppose Camila when she returns to Italy will have a very unwelcome visit from the Guardia di Finanza.
