Roamingrover86 627 Posted July 3 #476 Share Posted July 3 Team - 110 * athletes in 16 sports. This will be 12 less than Tokyo but considering we failed to qualify our women’s Hockey team, it is a satisfactory figure. We will have no representation in Fencing & Gymnastics where we qualified 1 athlete each in Tokyo. **Final number may go up by 1-2 athletes depending on athletics reallocations. hckošice, Somebodyyouknow and Makedonas

MHSN 3,459 Posted July 4 #479 Share Posted July 4 Iran is going to send 40 athletes (29 male, 11 female) in 14 sports to Paris. that's the smallest delegation since 2004. not a surprise. that was expected. that's the result of a mixture of lack of money, bad luck in couple of sports, poor management and IOC's idea of shrinking our favorite sports.
