Of course I was joking. I don't even understand why these events exist in first place. They are competing at the same exact same tracks as in normal races (of course), but for whatever reason the time only starts to run halfway through. What nonsense.

It's time for the luge sprint events to become olympic. A luge sprint Mixed-Teamrelay wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Kaul was quite good in Javelin Throw at the NC, though slightly worse than Röhler, not better. For him, a lot depends on the high jump, where he injured himself at the Tokyo Olympics while jumping 2,10m. Since then, he had problems in high jump with his foot from time to time again. If he does not lose to many point in 100m and long jump and if the high jump works, I do think he has a shot at the medals, though I don't think he's among the prime contenders. In Rome, he missed a better result because of the high jump and because he almost fell in the hurdles and was much slower than he usually is in this event. So he has some space for improvement compared to the European Championships.

He has a much higher chance in Long Jump. I honestly don't think he would have one in Decathlon at all. Not good enough in Discus and especially Javelin throw. At least not yet.

He won't participate in Decathlon at all, which, frankly, is the only reasonable thing to do from his point of view. He's a medal contender in Long Jump, and the Qualification is the morning after the seond day in Decathlon.

When is the first realistic medal chance of the Games for your nation? Day 1 with Lukas Märtens at the 400 Freestyle and maybe the mixed rifle team event in Shooting. When do you think your nation will get their first medal and in which event? I really hope Märtens will make this. It has been quite a while since we had such a big chance on day one, even for Gold. Is there a bumper day for your nation where you expect more than one or a few medals to come? If so, what day? Our chances on August 3rd aren't to bad. Also later during the Games, with the Canoe sprint events. Is there a day when you expect to have not so much competitors from your nation competing or no chances for medals? I think our chances on day 2 are pretty low.
