  1. Cool to read that countries like and are finding success too: https://games24.totallympics.com/?p=1062
  2. Right, but it was so funny that I didn’t want to miss the late hours, but sleep won out eventually.
  3. I’ve been watching a 24 hour comedy livestream for charity since 6 yesterday, and I’ve only been more tired to during the Olympics, Asian Games, and European Games. They’re raising good money for the children’s hospital my sister visits though, so it’s worth it I guess. Plus, it’s entertaining as hell.
  4. The University of Oregon beat our women’s national team tonight in an historic, and most likely one of the craziest all-time upsets. It’s worth noting the US are World Champions on the women’s side.
  5. The current broadcast plan says that gymnastics will be shown live. Now, I’m not sure if that means all sessions, some sessions, artistic and/or rhythmic, etc. I also don’t know if the broadcasts will be internationally available. KL2017 had a much broader and better streaming/broadcast system.
  6. California has some of the most strict gun laws in the US (and has banned many other “creations”), but yep. Guns are more legal than fireworks.
  7. Oh, I wouldn’t mind a “Blood On The Pitch” match. I might have to tune in now...
  8. I would assume China are the favorites?
  9. Trying to watch the 2018 Asian Games, 2019 Pan American Games, and European Games by the time Tokyo comes around. I’m hoping to watch bits of the CAC Games, Pacific Mini Games, Pacific Games, and Universaides by then to. I’ve been about 2,500 hours of footage to go
  10. I don’t know the names of the guys who commented the road races at the 2018 Asian Games last year, but I was watching a replay, and they were very enjoyable to listen too. I hope the IOC picks them up for Tokyo.
  11. Fireworks are illegal where I live. In California, you can only legally have them in July (However, their banned year-round because of the fire danger where I live). People shoot them off illegally all the time of course (because they can just drive to Mexico and smuggle them back in), and it’s annoying as hell.
  12. Yeah, no. I don’t think that’s normal. We considered bringing bounce castles on campus peak shenanigans
  13. To me, it just seems like their revamping the Children of Asia brand to be international. It not sure what the need/purpose of the games is, but I’ll be invested no less. I like the Paralympic, Special Olympics, and Deaflympics inclusion (that’s what makes the games special, I believe they’ll be the first to have Olympic sports, non-Olympic sports, E-Sports, Mind Games, Para-Sport, Special Olympics, and Deaflympics under one roof). I wouldn’t mind seeing more continental games take that route too. I still think should have separate Special Olympics World Games, Deaflympics, Paralympics, and Olympics, but I enjoy watching all the athletes competing at the same event. The market is becoming quite over-saturated in my opinion. I mean we have like 5-15 multi-sports games a year now (Plus, world cups, world champs, national champs, national tours, lower level events, youth events, etc.). The problem is that everyone needs a youth games now, a beach games (but I think those are fine because they are relatively cheap and make for a good community experience), a continental games, sub-regional games, etc. I love having all these games, but I’m not sure it’s a sustainable model. That said, these look pretty sustainable, and quite interesting.
  14. Red Bull BC One finals go down today. It’s the biggest and most important breakdancing competition in the world. I’ve seen some very impressive freezes, flares, and beat killers and in the warm ups. Might be worth a watch, it will be broadcast on Red Bull TV.
  15. Hopefully they can pool a miracle in the world qualifier. That stinks
  16. And, time to by my jersey to cheer on my team . Can’t wait to see them in Tokyo (it would have cool to see the men’s team too, but I can’t have all (most) of the tickets I want)
  17. Another new HBO show dropped today. It’s called “His Dark Materials” and it’s an alternate dimension, mystery, big brother, conspiracy, sci-fi, magic show. It has a lot of potential potential, but the first episode wasn’t as gripping as “Watchmen”. I believe this show is also based off a book(s). I’ll definitely watch the rest of the season, but it’s a unique look and tone for HBO. It’s normal your normal HBO or television show for that matter. I’m genuinely curious to see where they go with it. HBO still killing the game this year.
  18. Yeah, I’m cool with adding kinball too ?
  19. Day 2 https://games24.totallympics.com/
  20. Well the marathon is probably a combination of Dubai not wanting to close streets and pat for it, and the IPC not wanting to deal with the same drama as the IAAF had to.
  21. Mr. Sanders, I don’t see why you have a problem with that. I think Cycleball, Flatland, and Artistic Cycling would be a great addition to the World Games (and trials too I guess)
