  1. Yeah, @Vojthas explained it all to me a while back. The good news is that his Federation might become the new one
  2. I’d just like to take a moment to point out that there is a Polish curler on forum @Vojthas can give us really good incites into Curling in “non-competitive” countries.
  3. Even with only nations from the Commonwealth, I believe the ICC has more registered members, but I could be wrong. Curling is sport where I think non-winter nations could make an impact in winter sports. Yes, it would take years of programs and practice, but I do think with the right resources it would be possible one day.
  4. No doubt. Do they have Curling at Canadian High Schools? There’s definitely more competitiveness than Cricket. However, I’d say Cricket is more diverse because more nations play it (even if they’re not competitive). I’d say Rugby is more competitive and diverse, but even then it’s close.
  5. There’s been some recent growth though. Ukraine open its first purpose-built Curling center this winter. Sure it’s the probably the saddest thing you’ve ever seen, but it’s better than nothing I do agree that the sport is still marked by terrible lack of diversity. I’m really hoping to see some new faces in Beijing. Hopefully Mixed Doubles actually gives us some new faces this time.
  6. I know this is old news, but I’d like to start a petition to replace the NZ flag with this masterpiece:
  7. This affects Olympic qualification then right? I wonder what the WCF will do about that?
  8. Easy, I creates the environment needed for either a) radical change or b) succession.
  9. I’m not a “Bernie Bro.” I didn’t go around the internet shit talking people. I wasn’t actually the biggest fan of Bernie, but his politics, were my politics. I would support a Warren candidacy in a heartbeat too. I’ve come to realize that the Democratic Party no longer represents my politics or morals. While I realize my move may help elect Trump again, it may help me achieve my goals in the long run. Should I not vote/register for the party that truly matches my politics (which is actually probably the Peace and Freedom Party, but they’re a little crazy even for me)?
  10. Eh, once the revolution overthrows the current government, it will be fine (probably).
  11. Yeah, I just get worried when I read things like “x will be placed under complete lockdown and the military will do x.” That’s just generally not a good recipe, but hopefully this works out well.
  12. Looking back, I definitely ever reacted because I was debating a bunch of people off the forum. I do think Slovakia should be monitored to make sure they cross any human rights lines, but from the way you put it, I think it will work out Is Slovakia home to the largest Roma minority? Most of what I know about the Roma come from their persecution during the Holocaust (that’s why I get worried really).
  13. If I had to guess, somewhere between +3/5, but that’s also while putting on my freshmen 20, so...
  14. Welcome to forum @Nick Frith! Hopefully those PC2018 replays start working for you soon
  15. I’ve just studied too many wars, to see how this ends well. I trust you though. If you think the right choice has been made, then it probably has.
  16. Yeah the CDC has tried their best. I’m very thankful for them. Of course Trump shrunk their budget by quite a bit over the last two years... I don’t think Trump can be credited for the likes of the good health experts we see around him, but I do agree that our health experts are doing their best possible work.
  17. Same to you. I think the Democratic governors are to thank for saving the US from Covid. I don’t know how Trump’s response surprised you? There’s no response really, so I guess that is surprising in a way. I’m friends with quite a few libertarians by the way. They can be a little crazy for me at times, but then who isn’t right?
  18. Slovakia should be taken to the international court of human rights immediately. I respect the right of people to protect themselves, but targeting the minorities is not the answer! For now, it’s just a health check, but later on...This sets an extremely dangerous precedent.
  19. He has to chose a black woman to be his VP. He needs to chose someone like Abrams, who the party can rally around. Rumor has it that Warren is his first choice. As much as that makes me happy, I don’t think it will help him consolidate the black vote. The Democratic is grown too large. Our viewpoints are too diverse to beat the United front of hate and lies we see from the GOP.
  20. Trump’s actions drove the stock market down. California’s great response to Covid (with our thankfully left leaders) is driving hope up, as well as, the economy. I do want to live in a socialist country. No, not a communist country, nor a country ruled by a single person/party. I want to live in a country that’s truly for the people, that embraces diversity, and maintains peaceful existence. I realize that faux socialism has been a plague on the world for the last century, but democratic socialism is the correct way to fix that problem. I also don’t hate conservatism. I think it is required in many situations, however I think modern conservatism has lost it’s way. I chose to vote for hope and change, instead of fear and hate.
  21. The Presidential Candidate of the US Green Party tweeted this out today. I’ll probably vote Green to try and help get them federal benefits to strengthen their position, and hopefully make them a viable third party choice one day.
  22. I’m getting the feeling that Trump will win in Novemeber... Hopefully he doesn’t, but I’m exactly getting the right feel from Biden’s campaign yet...
