  1. Great win for Cavendish I often cheer for other sprinters, but that was a phenomenal way to earn a 35th victory. What a messy sprint.
  2. I must admit that I've watched the BBC Paris 2024 trailer almost a dozen times in the last three days. I guess it's doing a good job of getting me through the last few days before the Games
  3. WORLD RECORD for Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone
  4. I can’t believe just threw that away
  5. FOX Sports in the US. They have condensed highlights on YouTube for each match.
  6. USA Diving reports that it got a second women’s 10m quota.
  7. Of course, you'd likely have debates about wind, altitiude, how marks were measured, were there pacemakers, etc.
  8. @OlympicIRL don’t think we didn’t notice you missed a day Seriously though, love the concept every cycle.
  9. New commercial from the IOC to ramp up the hype.
  10. …and the big announcement is here.
  11. I was curious if the IGF would give Swayne a universality quota, but it appears they didn't issue any
  12. Of course, that process is ripe for debate and controversy too. I’m not really sure there’s a “perfect” or “right” way to select athletes.
  13. Athing Mu falls on the first lap and will not be selected for the Olympics. Heartbreaking images as she cries leaving the track
  14. Snoop Dog setting some personal marks before the trials tonight.
  15. I was holding out hope could spring a surprise
  16. France24 ran a story on delegation earlier this week: https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20240619-track-less-tuvalu-sends-one-man-team-to-paris-olympics
  17. Cool to see both pairs make the quarterfinals.
  18. Men’s 10000m finals were last night
  19. Ha, I have a small flag in my room too. Someone picked it up for me at some point because they remembered my love of smaller nations. I did interview some members of their delegation at the Games of Small States of Europe in Malta last summer though. However, it was the Swiss that won me over at The World Games with their spirited cheers. They also bought a bunch of Swiss flag hats for local fans to wear during the Fistball final, which was cool to see.
  20. Temecula is still about an hour and half drive (or more) away from Indian Wells, and that's if you take the mountain roads.
  21. One of the first athletes I ever interviewed, and she did indeed seem very kind.
  22. My prediction for top goalscorer isn’t looking good
  23. Got some swimming results for @Topicmaster1010 and @Josh to ogle at.
