Starting off entirely unrealistic, but oh well Every international sports federation should broadcast their events live and non-geoblocked on YouTube. Not on their own fancy channels, not on all kinds of alternatives, but on YouTube: accessible to everyone, it has all the basic controls many of their own players lack (like basic hotkey functionality), can easily be streamed to whichever device and - importantly - is super easy to watch both live, after a pause and when the entire event has ended.
Also, race walking should have a longer event, say 50km or so. If not more, Evan Dunfee once argued a 100km would be amazing (but not on the same mentally deadly 2km lap).
