  1. Completing a half marathon is hard and tiring and an attack on your overall body, but it's nothing compared to shorter distances in terms of pure intensity...you use totally different systems of muscles and energy
  2. Well, 1500m, here we go. Time to put that 'Dying with a capital D' to the test. I am so badly not looking forward to this Ok: Under 6:30 Very satisfied: Under 6:15 Partying: Under 6:00
  3. Djokovic once again made a bit of a fool of himself, saying it's "really impossible!" to 'only' bring one staff member to the court, which is what is being talked about for the US Open to happen. Some true words from Danielle Collins: "It's very easy for someone who's won over 125 million euros to say what we should do, but most of us don't even have an entourage at all." Djokovic desperately needs to play some tennis or something (which I guess he does, but something serious then), his mental state is getting worse and worse judging by the things he says.
  4. Going from Disney movies to "if you watch things that are not meant for your age, you end up with pedophilae accusations" in a handful of posts is a whole new level right there.
  5. That's not my main issue with the remake of Lion King, personally I'm just not into movies where the characters come across as completely emotionless meat bags
  6. Belgium has produced world champions? WDF doesn't count, I'm talking about the serious ones only I doubt it'll ever get big outside the current countries. They're desperately trying to make it grow in Germany, but much like in the Netherlands that's mostly just filled with a toxic audience.
  7. Same feeling every single year during the Vuelta a España and other big cycling races in Spain I'm half expecting to see Federico Bahamontes cycle along when watching Spanish races.
  8. These are the ones I've watchd by now as well, I am sometimes a little confused I still like it though.
  9. Or just let people discuss it if they want. Luckily there's YouTube, for now.
  10. No doubt contamination through bodily fluids is possible, it's not even the first case in the past year alone
  11. Don't mention don't mention the war, this is now banned in the BBC because wrong or something.
  12. Finally started with Dark yesterday...that's a little complicated but damn is it inviting to keep watching
  13. I have never really ran a fast 1500m yet, but my plan is to sort of start roughly the same as my 500m, then slow down and get into a bit of a rhythm that's very painful but not impossible to keep up and then just keep going for what feels like at least 55 minutes until I'm at 1500m. It's too short of a distance to be able to afford any kind of getting into a somewhat comfortable rhythm, but too long to just go full retard. I guess there's a reason they call it the hardest one Today in the 3k I thought I started out pretty strongly, but if my last kilometer was almost half a minute faster than my first, there probably was a bit more to win there. But, as I'm sure you know, there's that fear (well, more like a factual knowledge) of it going to hurt like an absolute bitch and not starting too fast (or fast enough) feels like a way to ease that. Last Saturday's 500m had no pacing. It absolutely hurts like all hell and you feel like you've just inhaled the core of the sun into your lungs, but at least it's straightforward: go out sprinting as fast as you can and don't stop moving until 500m is done even if your legs are really, really, really struggling to simply keep your body upright in the last 150m.
  14. I'd say I'll visit the Crazy Horse Memorial when it's finished, but I haven't found the Elixir of Life yet.
  15. Right, that's what I'm going for I mean, 4:10 today was my fastest ever kilometer and that pace would bring me to 6:15, but then again, that was after two already very tough kilometers and Saturday I'll start with 'fresh' legs, so I should be able to go faster. Three half kilometers a teeny tiny bit under two minutes would be awesome.
  16. I wonder if there'll be any reason left to ever set foot in the Dakota's then (you know, apart from it not being densely populated which is a great advantage in itself)
  17. The Lausanne 'final' is going to be done remotely, with athletes competing in I believe seven stadiums around the world. No thanks
  18. She even isn't an Olympic gold medalist in fencing from what I can gather. Meh.
