  1. Huh, "Competition delayed due to weather - Competition will not start before 04.00 CET" Yeah ok, but 04.00 was already the scheduled time so...so what
  2. Oh absolutely, a 7th place for an Estonian in a regular distance, that is seriously a fantastic result!
  3. Sure, it's the rule, but he could have tried in some sort of desperate attempt. Wouldn't be unique or anything, and it would definitely have messed Dubreuil's race up.
  4. Verbij after his race: "I had to stop instead of attempt that risky exchange, otherwise I'd also ruin his race. I'm not an asshole."
  5. Finnish time I guess But yeah, that was good to see, meant 2-3 hours more sleep than in most of the Olympic nights
  6. The men's ski cross does seem to be highly competitive (unsurprising, of course), so that's looking good. Nobody is far behind at all, except for Bachsleitner, who one may assume simply had a big mistake or something (I didn't watch the seeding run).
  7. Also congratulations on Russia, almost successfully sweeping a doping case under the rug, again, but still getting the win.
  8. IOC gets their asses saved.
  9. Ah, the 'but Western media' thing. Straight from figureskatingforum.com.ru
  10. I feel sorry for her. Sure, doping and all, but she's literally only a child, and I wonder how much this will hurt her regular life outside of the sport. What a mess
  11. Wow, that is an awful performance by Valieva. Not surprising, of course..
  12. @hckošice you fantastic amazing jinxer
  13. Jørgen Gråbak, first Nordic combined athlete in history with FOUR Olympic gold medals
  14. Yep, already the 2nd time in Olympic history
  15. COVID-19 and isolation are a bitch, says Frenzel.
  16. The fuck is Austria doing with throwing away Lamparter in the 2nd leg?
  17. And great that coach Johan de Wit, who basically has been the main person in making the Japanse women as great as they are now, could be there after missing most of the Olympics due to a positive test.
  18. It's a random draw, with the main prize of the lottery of course being to have a free competitive advantage for the races that actually matter most (Olympics and world championships). It'd be kind of like Formula 1 needing a deciding race to see who will be champion, and so they make a draw between the teams, with the winner deciding on which track they'll race the deciding race
  19. Another thing, slalom courses in the combined being set by coaches of specific athletes is just bullshit. The whole thing of coaches setting courses even at major championships is nonsense and already unfair from the beginning, but alright.
  20. I agree, I mostly meant she wasn't involved in her result being under scrutiny. But yeah..
  21. When even the skier who gets awarded the medal strongly disagrees with the decision, you might want to check your judging.... This is sad for everyone. For Smith in the first place, but also for Maier, you can see from her face she is not enjoying this at all and is just feeling bad. Everybody loses here... (except for Näslund obviously, no doubt about her )
  22. Yeah, when it's about combined, nobody can really touch either them or Brignone when they're in normal form
  23. Now hold on a minute, the two time world combined champion doesn't like your remarks sir
