  1. Athletics from every sport that is, not only athletics.
  2. Not a good week for the Dudoglo family
  3. Mats Hummels: "I will try to get Will Grigg's jersey tomorrow, because the story around him being on fire is awesome!"
  4. I probably would not have enjoyed the Day of Wales so much if the Netherlands was still in the competition (or already eliminated), so thank you Depay and others for thinking Playstations, golden necklaces and expensive cars are more important than representing your nation
  5. Retest scoreboard (don't mind the thing with B-samples, it's not really up to date because I've been lazy on keeping track of those ):
  6. That might not be a bad idea I think right? I mean, I very much prefer a relatively full "small" stadium than a huge stadium that's filled for 10%..
  7. Obviously, you're spoiling my bad joke
  8. Now come on SLO, make hckosice happy
  9. All Russians reject Shirokov's captain band
  10. Someone on a Dutch forum has made a list of current combined rankings for specific possible mixed double teams (the goal being of course to see whether or not Rojer/Bertens could be in). The question and the part where Totallympics comes in: does anyone know whether or not these nations have extra standards for selecting their players? Also, have some of these players already said they're not going to play mixed doubles? 1. Spain Nadal - Muguruza (6) More options possible, with Suarez Navarro being the only other possibility on the women's side. 2. Switzerland Federer - Hingis (4) More options when throwing Wawrinka and Bencic in the mix. 3. Great-Britain A. Murray - Konta (18) J. Murray - Konta (18) Only possible with Konta on the women's side. 4. Serbia Djokovic - Jankovic/Ivanovic (25 or 26) Only possible with Djokovic on the men's side. 5. Czech Republic Berdych - Kvitova/Pliskova/Safarova/Hradecka/Hlavackova Only possible with Berdych on the men's side. 6. France A ton of options: Gasquest/Tsonga/Monfils/Simon/Mahut/Herbert - Garcia/Mladenovic 7. USA Several options: Bryan/Bryan/Socks- Williams/Williams/Keys/Stephens/Mattek-Sands/Atawo/Spears/Vandewege 8. Australia Peers - Stosur (26) Stosur is needed. 9. Germany Kohlschreiber - Kerber (30) Only option 10. Romania Tecau - Halep (11) Mergea - Halep (16) Tecau - Begu (34) Tecau - Niculescu (31) 11. India Bopanna - Mirza (11) Only option 12. Poland Matkowski - A Radwanska (24) Kubot - A Radwanska (25) Only possible with A Radwanska. 13. Belarus Mirnyi - Azarenka (32) Only option Rojer and Bertens together have a ranking of 34 by the way
  11. I've been told the Ministry of Defence reported broken Slovakian MiG's desperately trying to reach the Netherlands loaded with bombs (broken as well), so they've ordered the broadcaster to change it. Now it says "SLW - ENG", where SLW means Slowakije, or Slovakia in Dutch.
  12. Oh no....oooooooh no, this is bad people....hckosice, whatever you do, please don't kill someone.. Here's to hoping everyone survives the night
  13. Come on Wales +1 for nations with dragon flags
  14. Oh this is just perfect
  15. On TV here they just said they have received a relatively minor fine (100.000 EUR I believe) Which would be weird if you ask me...why only a fine for Croatia, while Russia got a provisional suspension for the same idiotic behaviour?
  16. The Belgian pre-selection has been made, with Gilbert added in the last minute after saying he'd like to go. No Tiesj Benoot: he wanted to be added in the team but only if he could be sure to go to Rio after the Tour de Suisse. Coach said he couldn't guarantee it yet, so no Benoot. Jan Bakelants, Ben Hermans, Greg Van Avermaet, Serge Pauwels, Laurens De Plus, Louis Vervaeke, Tim Wellens, Bart De Clercq en Philippe Gilbert.
  17. Netherlands Women's singles: Kiki Bertens Men's doubles Jean-Julier Rojer Robin Haase That is, Rojer still has to solve his dispute with the NOC about being in the opening ceremony. So far the latest from the NOC is that they won't allow him to be at the ceremony while the latest from Rojer is that he's not going if they won't allow him to be there.
  18. I honestly don't see why it's unfair. It would be if the NOC would come up with standards out of the blue, but they were posted on the NOC website at least a year and probably like two years ago.
  19. A 24h car race where the leader broke down after 23 hours and 56 minutes You've also not seen the Dutch and Danish matches at Euro 2016 in the past days
  20. About Dutch Maarten Hermans: he needed top-12 in Pau to qualify for Rio and that didn't happen. It's very much looking like he himself barely even knew about this.. "My Olympic dream...this sucks! I felt like an Olympian but am not anymore." It's like he didn't even know about our NOC's standards, which were published long ago..
  21. Well yeah, there's a ton of cyclists who are among the best ever but still don't have a single chance to ever win a GT. Think of Cancellara, Sagan, Cavendish and so on. For time trial specialists (like Dumoulin), sprinters (like Cavendish) and one-day specialists (like Sagan, though of course he can sprint great too) winning a GT is not realistic, which also means winning a GT is not the biggest thing one can do in cycling unlike media loves to say Apart from that, I only remember Vino won the 2012 Olympic gold because of the controverse of him buying the gold medal, not because of the race itself. Tour de France (and in a smaller way the Giro and Vuelta) and especially the big classics like Flanders, LBL and Paris-Roubaix are in my opinion way, way bigger races to win.
