  1. First time I heard anything about this too
  2. So Bowie was at the warm-up area, but doesn't start
  3. I wonder if someone lied about it.
  4. This is all getting rather dramatic.
  5. Rumours are Makwala is going to show up anyway and try to be allowed to race (he's not allowed, he does want to race).
  6. Nope As far as I know that's only in the World Cup (and nobody knows why because nobody really cares about it or remembers it).
  7. Makwala is out of the 400m http://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/40861053
  8. A place in Brazil I recently learned about in Caraguatatuba, the home town of my favourite athlete in the entire world. You've got to go up a horrible climb (2.2km but an everage of 15-16% with parts of 25-30%, that is just insane and even in professional cycling you barely ever see that), but the view of the ocean is absolutely worth it For more photos, Google for Caraguatatuba or 'Morro Santo Antonio'
  9. That sucks. Although in Makwala's case first I thought it was an excuse to skip the 200 yesterday, but later it turned out he wanted to run but IAAF said he couldn't..
  10. Yep, and saying 'sorry, you can't compete' is rather unfair as well. Probably wouldn't even stand in court.
  11. Michael Johnson had some true words about Semenya earlier today: "There is absolutely no possible solution that's fair to everyone in the case around her." I'm happy she won a medal, if the stories are to be believed she is one of the nicest people in the world of athletics.
  12. Hassan changed her tactics this year (to finally stop always starting in the back), but for the main race of the year she fell back to her old habits...
  13. That is incorrect.
  14. He can thank his goverment and federation for that
  15. Meh, this was disappointing
  16. Go go Shubenkov
  17. Imagine if her technique gets better
  18. Right until that moment I liked Sharp, sort of..
  19. Brilliant, crying Sharp of last year on BBC about how difficult the whole Semenya situation was (for her, Sharp), while Semenya herself is being humiliated by half the world.
  20. 31 years old and already having 9 world championships on your list
  21. Naser: 2015 (aged 17): 51.39 2016: 50.88 2017: 50.08 Seems less of a dramatic drop than, for example, this certain athlete: 2012 (aged 20): 46.43 2013: 45.09 2014: 44.38 2015: 43.48 2016: 43.03
  22. That is incorrect.
