  1. Because he was injured and had barely been able to train in the past weeks
  2. If PPP gets his transfer rounded out, with Duranona, Copello and three Cubans, half the final in 2019 might be 'Cuban'
  3. Centrowitz, almost!
  4. She tried to change her 'always attack like a madwoman and then fall back in the last 100m'-tactics, but that didn't work out neither
  5. Matusevicius with XXX in the javelin Q
  6. I've got a feeling the bathrooms in the Swedish hotel are not the place to be.
  7. This is what I meant. And in no way did I mean it in an 'attacking' way. It's great that someone took over the contests (like I said before, that's very much appreciated), but it would be nice if there is some competitiveness and 'excitement'. For the finished contests that's not possible now, fine, but for the athletics one it's still possible
  8. 91.20m in qualifying and it's not even such a special result for him anymore Not bad for a guy who, until the start of this year, only once even came close to 90m (89+), talk about a sudden rise of someone
  9. Yes, she hasn't recovered well enough from the 1500.
  10. Time for the most unfair heats of all, the 5000m
  11. And that is much appreciated, obviously, but I don't think a simple suggestion would hurt anyone or add more pressure. A simple "Doing the athletics results first might be good because that one's still going on now" is in no way comparable to "where are the results this is stupid cheater referees" I just said what I said because for example it doesn't matter if the Tour de France results come next week or now, but the athletics is still going on now, so that contest could still get 'exciting' if we know some results now instead of only next week
  12. Live stream of the Tour of Portugal, with one of the funniest teams ever (W52/Porto, who really like their magic for breakfast), that's gonna be good on the final climb of today https://www.rtp.pt/play/direto/rtp1
  13. I sure am glad I'm not the head of security of the Giro then.
  14. I'd find it hard to say Lavillenie is not a champion even though usually he kinda messes up (ok this year he wasn't the best anyway, but still)
  15. I agree with you that you're not a robot and everything, but, a tiny suggestion: wouldn't it be a little more convenient to post the athletics first, so at least that one is 'live'? The results of the other 3 contests are late now anyway, personally I don't really care if they come online today or next week, I can wait, but for the athletics there's still the chance to have the results up to date so that one's still 'exciting' to follow
  16. But that's the same for almost every athlete, no matter their nationality I mean, if you have 15 competitions in a year and only one of them is really important, it simply is bloody hard to have your best result in that one competition instead of one of the 14 others
  17. @dareza Kromowidjojo has held a long awaited press conference about her future earlier today....
  18. The South American championships are being held in Portillo in Chile this week, at around 3000 meters altitude so that's nice. Judging by the photo, three nations made it to the podium, with Maria Dominguez of Argentina taking the gold, silver for Claudia Salcedo of Chile and bronze for Brazilian Mika Picin (who won the Brazilian championship, although as far as I know she was the only Brazilian competing, so, yeah..)
  19. I would very much prefer Schippers winning silver or bronze in an exciting race than Schippers winning gold in a boring race and then cheer just because she happens to have the same flag behind her name as me
  20. Plus seeing how much the 400 took out of Van Niekerk, this might make the women's 200 suck even more if the same happens to Miller.
  21. Jackson: bronze in WCh 2015 behind Felix and Miller, bronze in Olympics 2016 behind Miller and Felix.....now Miller and Felix fail and Jackson get's no medal at all
  22. What the hell!
