    'Most race walkers' then. All I've heard/read of race walkers is them saying this would be a welcome addition and that then they'd simply change their technique slightly so they would fall within the rules, much like they do now.

    They were not the only ones. Each and every athlete in the top lifts (not runs) every now and then, the trick is to hide it so the judges don't see it

    Adding it to Tokyo 2020 is probably too early, but definitely not as shameful as adding it for these world championships. Now they had a day or so to qualify (obviously nobody did, except for those who coincidentally already had a 50k time), for future champs they have a normal amount of time.

    Randall will definitely miss the 4:17 cut-off, Nair da Rosa seems to be going to have a hard time with it as well.
