  1. Royal Ascot starts today. But what is the point of doing that without spectators... I mean THE spectators.
  2. The problem is that those poorly-prepared tracks are safer. And concerning the fact that a certain part of Eurosport rights are Junior Worlds, they are usually prepared for being safer (not to mention some athletes themselves being less skilled). Also the preparing track for more interesting competition is usually taken as using the home track as an advantage and is being critisized by track commissioners who urge to prepare safer/more boring tracks. The track commissioner is the biggest shit position created in this sport.
  3. I just realized that there is ice in "KošICE" @hckosice Truly ice hockey
  4. They are first cousins - Zsófia is the daughter of the younger son of the last Crown Prince, while Ferdinand is a son of the older one.
  5. Or for those subscribing German-language monthly paper about royalties
  6. After deep look into the grid it seems there is another royal representative - Ferdinand Habsburg, who is not only the great-grandson of the last Kaiser, but is the oldest son of he oldest son of the oldest son of the last Kaiser - in other words, the one, who would get the throne someday, if the Austria-Hungary still existed.
  7. LeMans 24h virtual. Although there are a few drivers on the grid, as well as a few other drivers I like, my fingers are crossed for #54 Strong Together. Viva a Principessa! Viva Munegu! PS: The Princely Family in mourning as Baroness Elisabeth-Anne de Massy died a few days ago. Most of sport fans know her from patronage over Monte Carlo tennis.
  8. I'm a little bit out of the trends, but still Madagascar is the best series ever. Including all it's spin-offs except of Penguins of Madagascar movie (series was great). Shrek was great in its first two parts, the third one was worse and the fourth one was terrible. So, how many EYOFs and YOGs you've attended so far? Greetings from Győr 2017 reporter And I'm waiting for Banska Bystrica 2022 EYOF now.
  9. @Olympian1010 - do you think that as fans of Disney movies shall we avoid accreditating to YOGs, EYOFs and other youth competitions - just in case? Although, I think that:
  10. The same here. Although Canal+ opened an OTT last month, which has 30 days of free trial, so some way it can be accessed free here for now. And the good thing is that in this OTT the sport pack is not only Canal+ Sport (4 channels + nSport + Canal+Now which is used only when other channels are occupied + main Canal+ available for sport events only in this pack) but also Eleven Sports (all 4 channels) and Sportklub and Fightklub (which biggest, only one in fact, plus is Inside the D magazine as they make terrible shit with modern pentathlon, totally ruining the coverage, if any).
  11. Yes, but 10,500 including not only core sports, but also additional sports.
  12. The fact there will be no baseball/softball in Paris gives us quite a reduction of quota then.
  13. Still, she won't beat Polish Ministry of Sport who asked "who has chosen these two teams for the Super Cup game".
  14. Lusia on her pentathlon blanket:
  15. I don't need to go to the theatre to watch the Swan's Lake - I have it just behind the corner: PS. What Andersen wrote about an "ugly duckling" becoming a pretty swan is just a big piece of bullshit. Aren't they cuuuuuuuute? ;P
  16. As these are the University Games, I think Oxford and Cambridge rowing clubs might have something to do with these suits.
  17. I can bet (though it's guess only) that UIPM tries once more with the mixed relay. On the other hand - I guess fencing, tennis and badminton have no more events to be included. Adding to that all the team sports - basketball, football, volleyball, field hockey, handball, rugby - we've got eight. I don't count waterpolo as being under FINA it might mean changes in swimming and/or artistic swimming programme. Still, this means at least one of the team sports proposing changes. Beach handball, futsal or beach soccer and deleting basket 5x5 are all my first thought, hockey5s and rugby union rather not. OK, let's see the possibilities one by one: Aquatics - swimming and/or artistic swimming Athletics - it can be anything, I'm afraid Archery - compound (?) Badminton - nothing, I think Basketball - deleting 5x5 Boxing - weight changes again (#genderequality) Canoeing - any distance/boat size change Cycling - changes in track programme according to the new format, maybe some team road races Equestrian - hopefully driving, not unmeasurable vaulting and reigning or horse-harming endurance. Fencing - nothing more to be added, I think (although the team event known from YOG...) Field hockey - Hockey 5s possible, but not likely Football - beach soccer or futsal instead of U23 Golf - mixed relay? haha, just kidding (I hope) Gymnastics - team trampoline, men's rhytmic (#genderequality) Handball - beach handball Judo - weight changes Modern pentathlon - mixed relay - this time #yesplease Rowing - so many events to be in or out, including deleting of lightweight Rugby - union instead of sevens not likely due to reducing number of athletes Sailing - have there ever been two consecutive Olympics with the same classes? Shooting - team events, more mixed events... Gene Simmons from KISS, Alice Cooper's scenic shows and music video to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" were alltogether less scary than what can be done here Table tennis - men's and women's doubles Taekwondo - weight changes Tennis - nothing, hopefully (separate tournament on clay and grass?) Triathlon - sprint distance as a second individual event - I'm in as there may be that "more events with the same athletes and infrastructure" Volleyball - nothing, I think Weightlifting - weight changes (again!) or... separate event for those who do not dope (only one as I think there's very few of them) Wrestling - beach wrestling, grappling, pankration... or simply deleting Greco-Roman (#genderequality)
  18. For those who don't understand the art as well as I haven't - the idea is that it's not a pipe, because you cannot take it and smoke it. It is just a picture of pipe, not pipe itself. No, I didn't like art classes at school. Although that's from where Totallympics Media logo evolved after about ten years.
  19. I "love" how the NOC presidents are given an "individual" IOC membership instead of linked to function within a NOC. But there is even better thing than that - as well as Coates, who had a burning chair in Australia and his status was changed from linked to NOC to individual, the same goes with William F. Blick who was elected an IOC member... just two years ago.
  20. I think it's time to start the Beijing 2022 topic as we know the ITOs for the Games. Among them Marta Pluta - if the WCF nominates a skip of a national team as an umpire, it shows how much they believe in
  21. Any questions to 1976 Fencing Olympic Champion? Conference starts in 5 minutes.
