  3. 1-definitely, yes... 2-once again, definitely, yes... unfortunately, having success in the American circuit is the only way to make money enough to afford this kind of life (and also in North America, it's much more a question of marketing, shooting, modelling and things like that rather than competing in that circuit)... sad, but that's how it works in this kind of disciplines...

  7. another shameful outing for Italy and another disaster in terms of the world ranking... our girls were only 8th at the end of the day...and what's worse, they ended up behind a bunch of teams who were right behind us in the standings, which will make our chances to qualify for Tokyo in this discipline even thinner than before...

  9. well, technically this is the most important tournament he has entered...therefore, so far it's the tournament of his (young) senior career... and today, it was a disappointing outing after another...especially Bellandi (she's definitely not ready for this level of judo, yet...too many stupid mistakes in her competitions among the seniors until now) and Marconcini left me down... meanwhile I didn't expect anything from Mungai...actually, I always ask myself how can he get some results being technically so poor and definitely not so smart on the tatami (the way he lost to Toth today is irritating...more than irritating)...
  10. World Cup, Stage #5 (Turin, ITA) men's 500m, Run #2, Final Results Gold: LIM Hyo Jun Silver: KIM Gun Woo Bronze: YU Songnan
  11. and it's 3 wins in the last 3 500m races for Valcepina...right now, she's almost untouchable over this distance...

  13. Grand Slam (Paris, FRA) Day #1 Recap Japan lost early in the day their flagship representant, but they still managed to dominate the day with good 4 Gold Medals out of 7 weight classes contested yesterday... Ami Kondo (women's -48kg), Ai Shishime (women's -52kg), Naohisa Takato (men's -60kg) and Soichi Hashimoto (men's -73kg) didn't show any mercy over their opponents and came up on top of their respective classes... the 3 remaining Gold Medals were shared by Moldova (the surprising and at the same time outstanding Denis Vieru in the men's -66kg), Canada (in the women's -57kg, where Christa Deguchi edged out her teammate Jessica Klimkait in an all-Canadian final) and the host Nation, France (thanks to the great Clarisse Agbegnenou, who took another partial revenge against the Rio 2016 Olympic Champion Tina Trstenjak, SLO, who beat her in the Rio final, in the women's -63kg final)... Full Results here: https://live.ijf.org/gs_fra2019/results today the remaining 7 weight categories will be contested in the final day of this Grand Slam tournament (which I don't know how the organizers still continue to keep in this sh*tty 2-day format, which always leads to a too busy schedule and doeasn't allow the fans to watch even all the medal finals, unless they are on the stands, as they have to go with the 2 bronze medal matches at the same time not to go too long with the session )...
  14. yesterday's performance by Lombardo is the perfect example of how man can waste the tournament of an entire career... beating the best judo player in the world pound for pound and then losing to 2 almost unknown average players... meanwhile, good final outcome for Basile (but he could even have won the tournament...his quarterfinal's loss against Heydarov's still shouting for revenge) and Giuffrida (who took the eventual winner Shishime to the golden score and lost only because of a small mistake in the GS period)...
  15. and at the end of these World Champs, the most important event of them all... tonight, ladies and gemtlemen, in the women's snowboard slopestyle, we're going to attend to the great match between @hckosice and @heywoodu (represented respectively by Klaudia Medlova and Cheryl Maas)... c'mon, guys! show us your best tricks! p.s. of course there are 6 more girls into the final, but for us they don't count...world title is not we're looking for nor we're interested in... p.p.s. NED are on fire...they have a guy (namely, Nieck Van der Velden) also in the men's final...
  16. Men's Individual Epee (Vancouver, CAN) Final Results Gold: Koki Kano Silver: Enrico Garozzo Bronze: Jacob Hoyle & Alexandre Bardenet Semifinals: Kano b. Bardenet 15-8 Garozzo b. Hoyle 15-14 Gold Medal Match: Kano b. Garozzo 15-7 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://fie.org/competitions/2019/98/results/rank
  17. the Czechs look in great shape right now...today, it took half match for them, but then they dominated Finland and secured the final victory of the Sweden Hockey Games with still 1 round to be played... in the other match from today, instead, the hosts from Sweden won their match against Russia after the "Sbornaja" bounced back from 0-2 to 2-2 early in the 3rd period, but finally they couldn't keep the pace of the Swedes and gave up 2 more goals (the last one being a "classic" empty netter with just a few seconds still to go)...
