  1. These tournaments were highly entertaining, though in the end, they wouldn't matter much, as all the top teams will qualify via the rankings (as FIVB would like to). The Dominican republic were the news, as they took advantage and won't sweat next summer in VNL for the points.
  2. 18 categories, 90 places, not 1 quota... Absolutely amazing in the most negative way. There is still Novikov tomorrow, but he is defacto Ukrainian, so the point still stands..
  3. This is an abysmal performance from our team. We are going lower and lower with every year.
  4. Just a daily reminder how shitty the website and the whole UWW is in general. You want to pay and it still doesn't let you in. Way to ruin the only important event you have for the year.
  5. Agree. Sadly wrestling has become the poster sport of foreign athletes, so Bahrain aren't doing something new. UWW want to have as many nations as possible, but when 40% in a category are naturalized, i am not sure what benefits it will bring.
  6. Expected Yazdani - Taylor final at 86. Below them things are looking bad for Europe. That old saying goes "If you can't get a quota at the Worlds, better hope your continent get lots of them, so the Continental qualifiers are easier".
  7. I am not sure if Hristov will make the heavyweights in +102. Fischerov was definitely the first option at 102 for a quota between the two of them. Yeah, we are entitled 3, with Andreev and Nasar certain to have 2 of those. Third one right now is going to be the 61 with Dimov (or Rusev if he manages to get a result). If Hristov cuts wait to 102, maybe they could consider him.
  8. Good thing i'll be traveling shortly and won't have to sit and watch their site giving error after error. Let's hope by Tuesday they can figure out how to run a website.
  9. Is this shit working with only credit cards? I tried with my virtual debit one and nothing.. Garbage site.
  10. There is no info on who's fault was this accident, just that it had happened, when he was on his way to the airport to fly out to the WC. You are right about Redzhep, though he was a wrestler His car had hit a hole on the road, the tire punctured and went of the road. What can i say, there is long standing opinion, that weightlifting is cursed here. I can't remember a time, where there isn't some kind of scandal, or issues, or plain stupidity that's happening. At least people aren't dying currently like they did 15-20 years ago. Though the current crop of athletes are with the same level of WTF, either it's Fischerov's car crash, Nasar's bizarre home incident, Andreev's ongoing mental lapses, or Hristov being thrown out of the team for bad behavior, awful training regime and his attempts to be a rapper... Still none of them have reached the peak of worldwide weightlifting legend Galabin Boevski, who was caught in Brazil for cocaine trafficking, sentenced to 9 years in prison and then mysteriously released after 2 years without any explanation.
  11. David Fischerov was supposed to make weight at 102 kg, but was in a car accident, while on his way to the airport.. Now after missing the WC he won't be at the Olympics. Really bad luck for this guy. He had a great Euro last year, but after that picked up an injury for many months and now this.
  12. With these draws i can't see a single men's freestyle quota for us. To make things even better, one of our best chances in GR, Kiril Milov at 97 picked up an injury a few days ago and is out of the WC.
  13. There have been more random GT winners recently, than Kuss (if they indeed let him win). He has showed multiple times, that he is a world class climber domestique already. I just wished he would have won a more fighting race against real competitors and not this joke Vuelta, where the scenario has been written for a week now..
  14. Yeah, i forgot that the rankings berths are not for all continents by default. If USA is 1-2 in the OQT, then NA won't automatically get another quota from the rankings.
  15. Didn't know Canada had slipped behind Cuba in the rankings. Their place at the OG doesn't seem so sure now. Will the matches from the OQT count towards the rankings?
  16. Covid was so good to UEFA, no fans, no spectators, everything was going perfect for them East from the Alps. Didn't they learn, that Eastern Europe should only play against Northern and Western Europe.
  17. New expectations and prognosis about our OQT - 1.5 wins in 7 matches If we manage to beat Mexico and +/- China and not be last in the group. Let everyone else fight it at the top.
  18. Well the hype fizzled fast with the 3 X's in the Snatch. Is he still injured and this was only for the appearance?
  19. Don't know why they decided to annul Andreev's lift at 158 in the Snatch With that one he could have fought for silver.
  20. Is this rule only for the individual disciplines or for the full European continental regatta?
  21. Wow, only 6, that is really, really young The first Olympics i followed closely was when i was 13. Though i was following football since 10
  22. Wait, what? India will pay 300 million for 10-15 games of cricket and practically not care for anything else?
  23. So we are heading to an all Jumbo podium right Cycling is quickly becoming from one of the most unpredictable sports to F1. We only need orders from the boxes and a newspaper team photo finish at the end.
  24. @Bulgaria87 Nice to see a fellow Bulgarian join the family (yes, this is the Fast & Furious of sporting forums ). Don't be shy to join the discussions and share what you like to watch and follow.
  25. So Germany dedicated their full sporting force to become a basketball super power. Maybe this explains the decline in 15 other sports.
