  1. Bronze for Slovakia and 4th for Bulgaria had me questioning the quality of this competition. Then i went to see the results and people having 5-6-7-8 misses on the ranges explains it all.
  2. So they tweaked the schedule as to not have matches go late into the night huh And in a true AO fashion we are seeing almost every day late finishers. Even more regularly than in previous years.
  3. Swiatek in big, big trouble now.
  4. Out of the gazillion issues with the IOC, the roster sizes of the team sports is amongst the least problematic in my view. 12 in volleyball is perfectly fine, give me more individual quotas in 15 other sports.
  5. Osaka losing made the day. The only thing better than her not returning is her losing in round 1 or 2 every tournament.
  6. They still do, but it's called The Cube or something now. But it's still Schett, Mats, Tim Henman and now Kyrgios presumably giving his opinions..
  7. Day 1 hasn't even ended and i'm already sick of Eurosport's pampering of Kyrgios as their commentator.. They spend 20 minutes before the match on him and i'm afraid how much more in the next 2 weeks. It wouldn't be a problem if it was some tennis legend, a 6-7 time GS champion and not a moronic clown.
  8. Novak having his hands full. 2.5 hours for only 2 sets and 4 games. This Prizmic kid has a future.
  9. The Croats seem to be finding their form again in the Slalom. Second week in-a-row with one in the top 10 and 3 in the top 30 after the first run.
  10. Lots of 5-setters already, but the favorites scape through.
  11. At this point, i'm expecting Andreas Prommegger to still get podiums in his 50s.
  12. He is just following the career trajectory of his neighbor up north Dimitrov-aitis.
  13. No, both DH in Kitzbuhel are regular ones, scheduled from last summer.
  14. Very, very sad news Has Kilde now reached Svindal in number of injuries. I have lost the count of how many seasons he has left prematurely now. Both Norwegians achieved so much in their careers, but a big "what if" will loom on the full potential they could have had, if not for the frequent injuries.
  15. Sarrazin is definitely the revelation of the season. A GS only specialist up to a year ago, who stayed mostly in the European Cup and missed almost 3 full season between 2017 to 2020 is making a breakthrough at 30 years old. Currently he is the only guy capable of challenging Odermatt in the speed events. The French are desperately needing a new face to fight for podiums.
  16. Agree. But canceling half of the DHs and not having where to replace them is also an issue. A season with only 4 DH equally devalues the World Cup. They tried optimizing the calendar with making technical and speed weekends, but that works when we run everything normally and cancel 7 out of the first 10 events.. Now they can't catch up, because the speed weekends are already stacked up and you can't add to resorts, which are having only GS & Slaloms.
  17. Of course it doesn't matter for them, i was talking about my personal viewing schedule (and for other people who want to watch multiple sports). Anyone who thinks this isn't a cash grab is deluding themselves. They had no issues finishing round 1 on Monday-Tuesday for decades, especially in Australia, where there is no issue with rain. Waiting now to see, which GS will bring a Saturday start, so they have "3 full weekends".
  18. But the night sessions are still there, they are not getting rid of them.
  19. Aaahm, since when is AO starting on a Sunday Now why are they doing this and disrupting the Sunday wintersport schedule Tennis Australia wanting to squeeze the good attendance money.
  20. Some very intriguing clashes on the women's side. The men's draw is much more balanced. Let's see what the schedule looks like for day 1 and who gets the heat sessions.
  21. If things are true and this is Nadal's last year, then most likely he already played his final match in Australia. Not the way he wanted to go out.
  22. I've said it before and will say it again. The Ballon Dor lost every credibility it had after 2010 and shouldn't be mentioned as an important achievement by any respectable football fan.
  23. The tournament, which 95% of European club football fans hate. Especially ones for the "all mighty" English league.
  24. It is by the evidence of 80 pages and other threads for the big events of past years. But almost no one comments in the last 1-2 years. I myself haven't been watching as much as 4-5-7 years ago, but still follow all results and watch whenever i can. Presume people prioritise other stuff to watch as well. Also some of the decisions the PDC have made lately have hindered some of my interests. That and because it's not been on regular TV here in years.
  25. Biathlon isn't usually a sport, where the calendar is a problem, but interesting where to put the German rounds, so they don't have problems every year. Early January was great for them 10-15 years ago. A nice idea for me would be to move the World Championships to the last third of January. Have 1 World Cup after New Years, then a week off, then the 2 weeks of the Worlds. You could then schedule the 2 German rounds in February. But IBU wouldn't like to go against the Australian Open i reckon.
