  1. Iga with another commanding win The streak is a blessing for the WTA, hope it goes for a few months more.
  2. Greece without a doubt the best one. In this years awful list it stands out as one of the very few potential deserving winners.
  3. New Champions League format officially a go from 2024. https://theathletic.com/news/champions-league-format/UQdwWgNKMXhb/ Group stage expands from 32 to 36 teams, which will play 8 matches (4 home, 4 away) with random teams. Standings will be in one giant league format with the top 8 qualifying directly to the 1/8, while the next 16 will play in the 1/16 stage. The format could be passable, will see how it goes, what i don't like is that from the 4 additional spots, only 1 is handed to a non-top 5 country.. But that was to be expected, as UEFA wants the status quo to remain and big clubs (leagues) to play only against each other.
  4. Eurovision purist may have been lambasting our song for the past 3 months, but i'm proud how it went and looked like a proper singing performance without the cringe factor of the previous songs so far. Probably won't qualify still.
  5. Don't know how big is the venue, but there seem to be quite a few empty spots, when they pan the camera.
  6. Is it true, that you can now vote for your own country as well?
  7. This Miami track is dreadful (like all street tracks more or less).. Waiting for the inevitable wall crash and safety car parade.
  8. Hey beautiful people, i am very disappointed, that i had to miss the contest, but something unexpected came up this past week. And it was another fantastic and enjoyable contest by the looks of things. Spain with a commanding win to my biggest pleasure, as it's probably the country to which i have given the most points in all of my participations. There is always something to their songs, that resonates with my taste. Well deserved win for @Cobi and very much looking forward to his hosting next time. Also, big applauses for @Vektor for his tireless work these past few months, from stepping up hosting, to organizing and executing the contest perfectly. Great effort from my team members @OlympicIRL @Griff88 and @Illya on getting a bronze medal. Especially after stumbling in the first round, that was some fight through the repechage rounds! The historians will speak on this, but i think this may be the first time i get a medal in the music contests And finally, but not least, big Thank You to everyone who enjoyed and/or voted for the BG song. This time more people than usual and it's nice to be on the left side of the table for a change. Virtual bears and cookies for all
  9. In a shocking twist of events, Suzuki are set to quit MotoGP at the end of the season.
  10. Very close for Ronnie to equal Stephen Hendry's record 7 World Titles (in the modern era). I don't know what has happened to Trump the last few days. He should have lost to Mark Williams in the 1/2 already, after blowing up a 12-5 lead, to go to a deciding frame.
  11. Looking through twitter on this, most Brits say they've jailed the wrong Boris. Surprisingly people there seem to agree, that jail is too harsh for Becker. Should have just asked Djokovic for a favor.
  12. Votes are in, i have done my duty and just in time before our Easter holidays here.
  13. Секешфехервар Not that hard, i think we had some BG football players at their club, and also the athletics meeting there. Second one is harder, i'm not sure exactly on the pronunciation, will have to check it.
  14. A lucky break for the second group, as Ganna had a flat, which led Sky/Ineos putting on the brakes at the front and the gap is halfed. Ganna though looked very impressive in the catch up. As expected it's already chaos and we barely hit the paves.
  15. Windy day at Roubaix leading to a 2 peloton split with WVA, MVDP, Asgreen and Mads Petersen in the second group. Time to slightly panic for the big favourites.
  16. The staging usually elevates the songs, but i agree that we have hit the bottom this year (yes, i probably say this every year). I was very underwhelmed with 2021 too before the shows, but then i flipped my opinion after seeing the performances live. Don't know right now, if this year can be saved though. I hate how much more political everything has become with Eurovision the last couple of years. Ukraine winning twice in six editions out of pity is going to be underwhelming. Only good outcome i see is Spain winning after over half a century, or Italy making the double, which hasn't happened in 30 years, which in modern times is unimaginable, as their 2 songs are the most stand-out ones.
  17. Poland hosting a volleyball tournament, no, i am shocked.
  18. BULGARIA DARA - Thunder No surprises, that the retro 80s disco sound dominated the pop scene here as well in the last year. I wasn't keen on adding such a song, as people are probably tired of the sound by now, and had a dilemma between this and another more traditional song. But given that my last few more specific bulgarian songs didn't translate that well, i thought i'd go more mainstream this time. Time to out-Weeknd The Weeknd Lyrics in the video, as per the title
  19. BG will be here We are packing bags and are about to leave for home soon, so everything should be ok for tonight. I have 4-5 songs on my mind and given that there aren't many songs in english this time, maybe i will choose one of them
  20. I'm on a family trip the whole week, but i will try to post a song on sunday night, when i'm back home.
  21. Bulgaria is going to replace Russia in this years Women's Nations League. We are going to host one of the week rounds as well. Who is going to replace Russia on the men's side is yet to be decided.
  22. Subpar results always seem to happen. Nikolova losing the final was a big blow. Selishka while not a clear favourite had still a 50-50 chance, but lost another final yet again. I think this is her third lost Euro final... Georgieva in a category with only 6 people didn't even manage to get a bronze. Then you have Belberova at 53, who i've lost count on how many big Championships has competed in and never manages to win a single match.
  23. I never expected to see such a brain freeze from Pogacar. Completely idiotic decision. Being the strongest rider and then almost stopping 400 m before the end, with MVDP known for short exploding sprints and people coming in full speed. What was he expecting to happen... Unreal how MVDP managed to hang on Paterberg though.
  24. May the Swiatek era be longer and prosper
  25. I have an idea why the host team isn't in the opening match. Because there are 4, FOUR fricken matches in a day and the host can't play at damn noon. Of course they'd want to play in the evening, when it would be more convenient for the home fans. Prepare in 2026 to have matches from 10 in the morning till midnight. Damn fools..
