  1. I read a while ago a very good article on why the Democrats have lost the working class, blue-collar America. That's more or less, because they have become the elitist party of California and New York and have forgotten the rest of the country. When the forefront of your campaign is climate change, "transgender bathrooms" (article quote) and constant scandals about different agendas, while the GOP is giving you jobs, trade deals, security and some plan for the future, then it's no surprise how the working class person is leaning. Also there is this feeling that Democrats look down on the ordinary persons problems and always have this grandeur program of things, that again only people in California and New York care. It's not that different on how people from those states usually look down on people from the smaller (not so fancy) states. The rust belt numbers for Biden have been dropping fast and this is even before the debates and Trump mobilization units. This could very well be even an easier win, than in 2016.
  2. No big fireworks on that final climb. Still the killer bees were much more impressive than Sky/Ineos. Let's see, if the later will find their usual second-third week monstrous train form. They were betting a lot on Sivakov, but after those first stages, he looks like a beaten horse. This could be their weakest team at the Tour since before the Wiggins time. Also, can Pogacar finally win something. I know the guy is just 21, but i think i see him in the second, third spot every time.
  3. I will go with a Pogacar win today.
  4. You know things are going bad, when you have Schwartzman being a top 10 seed at a Grand Slam.
  5. Lorenzi is here only for the paycheck. Probably can't wait to go back to the European journeyman circuit.
  6. Cofidis was a Pro-Conti for a looooong time. Was given WC for the Tour almost every year though, but not many other races.
  7. Yeah, not sure about that. It took a lot of time to fill the bracket, just to have to do it again now. If this was the case, we should have just predicted round by round matches. I think we should keep, what we have now, and spare everyone some time going back and rechecking the sections every day. Going forward we could predict round-by-round?
  8. First matches have ended and no surprises so far. Is this a GS or not Someone will bomb out today, let's see who will it be.
  9. We do tennis once a year, so even if it takes a bit longer, it's not of an issue for me. At least this way i get very familiar with the brackets and know instantly who is in which half and what is his path, when the matches start

  14. Because our american friend brought it up and said it's because of money that black people (or non-europeans) don't participate in winter sports. I think i made it clear, that my opinion is it's because of lack of interest and not money related. If there is interest in new countries, they would cope and find a way to build a following/ program / participation. They just choose to invest money in summer sports, which are more traditional.
  15. Please stop. Can't you accept one thing, without insinuating stuff that have nothing to do with the subject... Where did i say, there have never been black people in winter sports? Shani Davis is one in 10 000, 20 000? If you line 10 000 black people and offer them all expenses paid to any sport they wish, how many will choose a winter sport? 5-10-20 out of 10 000... Will they choose to be a snowboarder, a curler, an ice hockey player, a skier? They don't like winter sports and that's it. If there were more Shani Davises, they can have their chance too. Also, about the participation in winter sports. I am sorry that the bad, rich, white europeans have taken all the spots. It just comes with tradition, interest and and a big fortune like you said. After all when they started in the 40s,50s,60s having a pair of 2 wooden skies was top class stuff. FYI There are big mountains in Asia, South America and Africa too. And i'm pretty sure they can build an ice rink.
  16. Ok, i'm just saying this, because there is UEL football and i'm watching 3 matches simultaneous Have the police crossed the line on multiple situations. YES, there is no denying that. They should have handled the situations much, MUCH different. But, were those people not obeying their orders. YES. When the police tells you to do something you just do it. Especially american police, who are like real life movies, where shoot first, ask questions later is how they train them to react. I guess, i haven't been there, don't know how much danger they are in everyday. Should they react that way, no! Not walk away, go to your car, trying to leave or grab a knife, like this guy in Wisconsin. You are not provoking the police in any country.. But the thing that really bugs me, is that there is this mass hysteria that comes out of USA, for the rest of the World to see, fueled by twitter, the media, the Hollywood celebrities and now the sports athletes, that there is this open season for killing black people. It's like all cops wake up in the morning and go out to kill black people for fun. It's like, if white people are not throwing themselves for the black people, they are major racists and white supremacist. This extreme thinking is what is destroying America in the last 5 years. If you are a black person, who is living a normal life, doing your thing, raising a family, being a good citizen, not committing crimes, obeying the law and not provoking the police, when there is some situation, they will not shoot you. Nothing bad will happen to you. If the athletes want to make a difference, they should preach to the black communities to obey the law and not commit crimes, not F the police, F Trump, take their guns and become lawless cities. The change has to happen on both sided, but boycotting sport games is bringing nothing. It's easy to jump on the twitter/TV bandwagon for a minute and then go your mansion and live your millionaire life. Also, people seem to forget, but BLM was born, because rich celebrity actors weren't handed Oscars for just being black. It had nothing to do with the regular person, or the cultural situation, or police attitude. They just wanted wanted to be handed free prizes and it translated now to many other areas, but that is another discussion. Well duh, it is a white sport. Black people and snow/ice don't mesh. They are just not that into or comfortable with winter sports. Don't you know your sporting history. It has nothing to do with money and class.
  17. Of course NHL will get hammered. How dare they have an opinion different than the angry mob. I am actually supporting all sport being shut down indefinitely in America. The players will get their way of not playing and we wont be wasting our time hearing about them all the time. PS. You may be the first person i know, to say that ice hockey is a bourgeois sport
  18. There have been a few disastrous Grand Slams for me over the years (as a Federer fan). But those were with results known and more so with the outcome. But this one is different, because we haven't started it. And for the 17 years i have watched tennis, i haven't felt so indifferent before a Grand Slam start. Maybe it's because of the many top player withdrawals, maybe the lack of fans and GS atmosphere, maybe the failed season so far, but it just doesn't feel like a true GS for me. And just when we have for the first time in how many years (decades) 3 players in the singles draws - Dimitrov, Pironkova, Tomova.
  19. Oh man, can you believe if the US Open is actually cancelled, because of this, after all the fuss about Covid measures they had for the past months. It's not happening of course, but imagine those 300 players depending on the Grand Slam check, after not playing for half a year. I am sure they are going to have a political stand too.
  20. No you can't. You are either a racist or you are not.
  21. There are probably only 5% or less of Totallympics users that approve boycotting sporting events for political reasons. After all, we know better than the average person the stains left in the history of sports, because of such acts. Also Americas image has been tarnished for years now, very few things that happen there seem normal.
  22. I'm sure this is a tournament decision, because the european players were going to play and they don't want byes for the TV contracts.
  23. If you are going to boycott, why return playing the next day
  24. Toronto is not Canada, so no surprise there. Real Canadians won't revert to violence.
  25. Premier League is back with consecutive nights of play. A mini-tournament, which is going to be a good chance for the ones in form to get a lead for the finals.
