  1. Ha, looks like this slovenian athlete didn't make it to the big stage after all. @hckosice
  2. Not really excited about the Oscars this year, like i have been in the prior ones. There is something about this years films that just don't click with me. Not one really stood out for me to root for it. And there are many little things in a bunch of them that keep me from caring. The one thing that i'm certain though, is that Ali doesn't deserve to get a second Oscar in such a short time, while in history, there have been so many all time greats, that barely got one, and some never did...
  3. A lot of the BDO players are trying in the Q-School this year. McGeeney and Jamie Hughes earned a Tour Card after the first 2 days. Durrant is also there, but had 2 early loses. I don't know if he was overconfident after the third Lakeside trophy.. Other notable names include Waites, Jim Williams, Dobromyslova, Ashton, Fallon Sherrock.
  4. 5. Waites vs. Durrant is the final that the BDO have wished for. No other 2 players in the draw that they'd have. Hoping for a very good match.
  6. Macedonia's parliament passed on Friday an amendment to the constitution to rename the country Republic of North Macedonia, as agreed with Greece to put an end to a 27-year dispute. Now, it is time we started petitioning for Western Macedonia
  7. I really like our draw. This time we really lucked out, when comparing the other groups. We "only" have to beat Brazil, i'll take that.
  8. I like both versions to be honest. When SA wants, they can make it as interesting as if it was in Africa. The deal is that like many other sports, the safety aspects have kicked, instead of the epicness.
  9. It's Dakar season once again! Even with the fewer stages than usual it is still one of the sporting highlights.
  10. I was talking about the men's race. No Cologna, Manificat, Hellner, Harvey, Poltoranin, anyone, it was only Norway-Russia-Norway-Russia-Norway-Russia
  11. Kobayashi is a real mystery for me. In the beginning of the season i thought he just had a string of good jumps and his form will disappear in a few rounds like every prior japanese jumper. But the guy just keeps winning. And the 4-Hills, once the hardest event to win, he just breezed through. Or maybe, this is the weakest ski-jumping season i have watched. When i look at the final 4-Hills and the overall World Cup standings, it's like there are no stars anymore. As if the big names from the last 4-5 years have all disappeared and the mediocre jumpers are now picking up the pieces..
  12. I watched. But even for me, as an avid Norge fan, having the whole norwegian and russian teams in the top 12 is too much. I have a kick when norwegians beat the other nations, but now there are almost no other nations.
  13. Correction, there have not been any favorites in slalom in 2-3 years. Hirscher wins and anyone else can be 2nd or 22nd in any given race. Ugly discipline i agree.
  14. Were only norwegians and russians allowed, because i didn't see any other nation in the race.
  15. They will show the second run, but because of the Hopman Cup not the first.

  17. Yup, Tour de Ski has definitely run it's course. In addition to those that skip it more and more, the ones that do actually start don't want to finish it. FIS needs to start thinking how to save it before it is too late.
  18. Tough match-up for Zografski. His run of points is probably going to end.
