  1. I don't know how accurate these rankings are but if you remove the extra Americans and Brazilians he would be 14th in the rankings and qualify for Tokyo https://theboardr.com/globalrank?discipline=1&sex=All&age=All
  2. How many children do the Hochschorner twins have? I was counting on a Slovakian dynasty. Being serious for a moment - the C2 at the London Olympics turned slalom canoeing in Great Britain for being a tiny sport to being an important event.
  3. Let's do a deal. Slovakia to win half the gold medals in Tokyo and Great Britain to win the other half? OK?

  8. Lausanne, 31 May 2018 – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has been notified of the appeal and urgent request for a stay filed by the Peruvian football player Paolo Guerrero at the Swiss Federal Tribunal (SFT). The appeal is directed against the CAS decision partially-upholding the appeal filed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against the decision issued by the FIFA Appeal Committee on 20 December 2017 and increasing Mr Guerrero’s suspension from 6 to 14 months. Paolo Guerrero has also filed an urgent request for a stay of the execution of the suspension in order to be able to participate in the forthcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia. The CAS will not object to the request for a stay. So far, the CAS Panel has only issued its decision, without grounds. The reasoned award with the grounds for the CAS decision will be notified to the parties at a later stage
  9. Don't worry. I'll list them - but some of them have not been banned yet. The federations are still working on the cases. An example - Bjorn De Decker might take months before he is found guilty of doping.

  20. Translation from Sport-Express Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov commented on the information that Russia allegedly acknowledged the conclusions of the McLaren report . - Today I learned about this article, but L'Equipe is not the official mouthpiece of WADA or the IOC, - noted Kolobkov. "It's their evaluation of that letter, and I'm not even sure they read it." In that letter it was written that we adopted the decision of the IOC on December 5, 2017. There were long discussions at the commission of athletes, we made this decision, because we stand for cooperation with the international community and the IOC. This decision was based on Schmidt's report. If someone is guilty of violating the anti-doping rules, we will punish them together with international organizations. But a decision must be made on the basis of irrefutable evidence, which must be built up in court. The Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting an investigation for one and a half years. Anyone who has manipulated or violated the rules must be punished. That's what this letter is about. Our side adopted the decision of the IOC, we believe that this movement is towards each other, because Russia is a part of international sport. Our athletes deserve to participate in the Olympic Games, because we believe in their purity. The decision of the IOC was based on Schmidt's report. But I will once again say that in Russia there was no state support for the doping system. We are for a clean sport.
