  1. Yup, that's I thought would happen although Latvia, Vietnam and Switzerland are below three participations, so it's a bit easier to have a good record. The huge surprise for me is that Germany is so high up and @Vektor really pulled through for Hungary there is the newest contest already added to this?
  2. I usually am fairly patient when it comes to TISC, but I'm really feeling a compulsive need to rank something and I wouldn't mind if we had the songs for next TISC right now I know it's impossible and it might come from the fact that I don't have much to do these days.
  3. How do you feel about @Olympian1010 not sharing your absolute love and devotion for Bulgaria?
  4. Sees how many silvers Netherlands has: pretty accurate Cool that Lithuania is so high up, but makes you wonder if that's mostly because of our perfect attendance.
  5. Yeah, I was browsing the TISC history thread and thought about it. It's clear that Lithuania was only gunning for the winning positions once in these 15 contests. There's a 7th place, three times 8th place and a 10th place for the top finishes of Lithuania. We've never broken a top 5 since our winning entry. Would love to make this achievement before the 20th TISC
  6. Also, seeing as you have 48 nations that scored points from you, what are the nations that you're yet to give points to? I'm on 45 with more contests Don't have Egypt, Greece, Tunisia (17th in 2017), Bulgaria (13th in 2018), Hungary (was 13th in last edition ), Russia, Montenegro, Uruguay, Venezuela (18th in 2019), Iran (15th and 16th in 2017), Israel and Lebanon.
  7. Croatia's 16th on mine, so send Zsa Zsa so I can fix this and push it towards 15.
  8. I don't care about chances, I'm just genuinely interested how 2020 music industry looked all over the world, because frankly, I only know how it looked in the US, UK and LTU.
  9. This is kind of a fake reason to be honest, the only country from the countries that regularly participate at TISC that could be affected by this is perhaps only Malta. If some of the larger countries take a hit, then welcome to our world, we regularly have less songs to choose from. And in case you think you're representing our interests, then many of those smaller countries already voted for no extension and some of the bigger countries already voted for A. Every artist, all over the world has lost so many finances by not being able to get any work. Sure, every country has a handful of artists that haven't struggled too much since they're always first in line to get copious amount of gigs whenever quarantines are stopped and such. And what you're telling me right now is that all of these people that couldn't go out there and perform, chose to spend the entire year doing absolutely nothing? No, they for sure kept releasing songs so that they would have something to do on social media in order to stay relevant to have an audience pull after quarantine is over. The least we can do is honour the struggle and look back at what artists were able to create during this tough year for entertainment. This annual contest could be one of the most interesting ones that we've had and I'm speaking from a country that's probably bottom 5 based on population from all the participants. Honestly curious how the music industry was holding up in Malta during the pandemic @Glen ?
  10. I believe Canada confirmed to host. No news from Serbia on the other hand.
  11. It's a tie right now. I'm happy at least with that, I thought it would be a one-sided vote towards A. Edit: nevermind 7:8 rn
  12. Yeah, my entire reasoning against A is pretty much that I don't know how the competition will look if a bunch of countries just send their second choice of 2019, rather than putting in the research for 2020/21. Nobody can actually convince me that artists haven't released songs for a year and a half. Having all concerts cancelled due to various quarantines, releasing a song is literally the only thing that you can do as an artist in this pandemic.
  13. Question 1: B It honestly would be interesting to see how Covid shaped up the music industry globally. Perhaps there would be more creative song choices rather than countries going for their number 2 song that didn't get selected for the 2020 contest. Question 2: if necessary, then A Can't wait for the Christmas songs
  14. First time in history, Lithuanian men will have 4 starting spots in World Cup races. I'm really hoping we don't blow this and actually qualify to the Olympics as a relay.
  15. Well, her prized achievement is a silver medal in the Youth Olympic Festival Individual race, after that she bombed in most of her junior races due to not managing stress, but she also landed 39th in her first ever World Championships, individual race, when she was 18 or 19? Haven't landed near top 40 ever again.
  16. Well, they've been rivals from when they were children, every race you wouldn't know which one would come out on top. Yeah, nowadays Tomingas ski speed is miles ahead, whilst Gabrielė still has the better shooting, but can't move if her life depended on it.
  17. You know who also had a promising junior form? Gabrielė Leščinskaitė who was just as impressive as Tuuli Tomingas, but our juniors almost never translate youth performances into success.
  18. @hckosice is actually already on the plane home to start early preparations for 2021 so that Czech Republic would never best him ever again.
  19. That's like a very nice party of nations to be in. We should play flex queue sometime.
  20. Should've named the 5 nations for our board of shame. Then quickly remembers that Lithuania is one of those 5 nations
  21. Nahhhh, nearly all of their songs were blatant rip-offs of other pop music, so it always really triggered me You and I perhaps the only one I liked. But for example: Night Changes is a note by note absolute rip off of The Script's "I'm Yours". Give those two a listen, you'll see what I mean. Harry Styles music though is next level, Niall Horan's first studio album was really good as well, second one is okay, but he released a lot of very good duets on the side, one example would be recent collab with Ashe on "Moral Of The Story".
