You might be right.  Perhaps the Olympics will have to move to a model other Multination, Multi-Sport events have where you have a fixed core group of events that appear in every Games, then a flexible fringe group that appear at different hosts depending on facilities, local popularity etc.

Team Archery is always good.  The fact that Korea always gets Gold makes everyone else more relaxed.  Mountain bike can be a bit dull with the winner obvious after one lap.  Men’s triathlon will be wide open after the Brownlee Brothers dominance.  I’m tipping .  Table tennis mixed doubles will be

per new rules athletes win quotas, not NOCS, but they also can't change their NOC in middle of the qualification.

What’s preventing most sports now is the complexity of travel arrangements between different nations.  So for a non-professional international sport like gymnastics, I don’t think we’ll see many events this year.

well, today it would have been officially the -2 day, but in practice we could have watched the first Olympic events (Softball and women's Football) of the Tokyo 2020 Games...
 
instead, it's only -367 officially (-365 in practice, that's what really counts to me)...
 
I feel so sad...my heart is broken...I can't even watch old Olympic pictures as usual without a river of tears coming off my eyes, going down my cheeks...

But yeah, ever since the birth of Romania as a country they have always looked to France as a cultural inspiration, so as not to be confused with all their mad Slav & Magyar neighbours.**

Tough to watch from MY.  Solid first leg, did not improve in the second.....still dead last!  Think I’d be looking to write this year off, clear out the dead wood & give the youngsters a chance now.

After almost four months I finally got some swimming done here in my political asylum. .  Can’t tell you how much though, was one of those strange hotel pools.  I am generously guessing 10m, so that was 1km.  Actually probably only 635m.  
 
Now to celebrate met trappistenbier ?  & frietjes!  ? 

I may very well be the only man in the world to know this, but in Brussels there is a whole shopping mall that is nothing but nail bars! 
 
Fair enough I suppose - some bars (ie bar-type bars) sell 600 kinds of beer, so both sexes are fully catered for.   A fortune awaits the first person to bring both together.
 
Now I’m in trouble!
