    I’m not an expert in dodgy webstreams, but in fact they all turned out to be fakes. They show the action for a while, but then cut out and you have to go to a website …..oh well, lesson learnt.

    Hey, Jusztyna Kowalczyk fainted during the Torino Olympic 10km & came back to win bronze in the 30km. Anyway, familiar story in Norway women’s 10km classic with all the women being super-motivated to get their early season places booked, but great days for Claudel Top 5 & Laukli Top 10.

    Big event of the weekend is the NCAA Cross Country Finals Since the demise of ESPN Sports there is no good source for Division I though, so probably one of the expensive US PPVs.     Made their World Cup debut in Skeleton*. Don’t know it it’s a WC debut in all winter sports, but am confident that’s their first ever WC points. * Although they have entered World Championships.

    Not often I am proud of football, but when Glasgow Rangers were found guilty of similar the club were dissolved, had to start again in the 4th Division & work their way back. All the other clubs took a loss, but the rules were enforced.

    You just have to hope about 8 countries boycott the Olympics & there’s a medal there for sure.

    Yeah, the irony is that many nations can become strong just by sponsoring a small core of professional players even without large numbers further down the pyramid.

    European Championships time again! Starting as soon as Saturday. As well as World Curling's pay per view, there's lots of coverage on Eurosport/ Discovery Plus and probably the BBC will have semis and finals also.
