  1. Ya know what would have prevented her from qualifying? Allowing countries to send a maximum of 40 athletes rather than 30 But of course we can’t have that, would be a tragedy if Hungary couldn’t get the fifth realocation.
  2. Huh, gold medal game is early in the morning Korean time. Gee, I wonder why xd
  3. If Colombia keeps investing in speed skating they may very well end up winning medals, they have a ridiculous depth of tallent in inline. This is a very promising start.
  4. There is something kind of poetic about this result, with the most dominant driver over the last four years (Friedrich) being in a tie with the most dominant driver of the season (Kripps). They both deserved it.
  5. ...not sure how to feel about this xD Both times Canada has won a gold medal in two man at the Olympics it was a tie.
  6. Level seems quite a bit higher than the world cups, good to see Gasser is going to get a run for her money.
  7. This is the kind of track where anyone can have an off day, so who knows.
  8. I actually think the big air format (best two out of 3, cannot count two identical jumps) would work really well with aerials.
  9. In real time I was absolutely certain Schempp had won it. He left his kick just a little too late. Fair play to Fourcade, he is a legend. Awesome race for bronze too.
  10. As much as I'm not thrilled by the judging, respect to the athletes. The level of skiing, especially in qualifying, was incredibly high. Hopefully next time they have qualifying and finals on different days like they do in snowboarding.
  11. Okay, what are the judges smoking?
  12. I am increasingly baffled by the judging in this event. For some reason it's only something I really am confused about at the Olympics...
  13. Oh, they changed the format?
  14. I'm really confused as how he got 95...
  15. ...how the **** did they seed this? Norway and New Zealand are ranked first and second in the world and they face off in the first round...
  16. The level of skiing is ridiculous, top 5 have 90+ and it's halfway through the second round of qualification.
  17. So hey y'all, if anyone here has even a passive interest in slopestyle, watch this men's ski slopestyle competition. The course is sick and there are like a dozen people with a legitimate chance at gold. It's going to be an insane contest.
  18. Off the top of my head Georgia Simmerling of Canada has competed in Alpine Skiing, Freestyle Skiing and Track Cycling (where she won a bronze medal). Technically two sports and three discipline.
  19. Ya, in case anyone wonders, both Liu brothers are from the Beijing suburb of Budapest.
  20. lol, Liu is Christie's boyfriend. As if she needed her Olympics to get any worse.
  21. Kin Boutin is tonight's real winner, she got another medal, Choi Min-jeong got her gold and Liu just took all the heat off her.
  22. Girard!!!!! ...okay, he got stupidly lucky but gold is gold!
  23. Hamelin taking a bullet for the team there.
  24. That's been one of the most unfortunate Biathlon storyline over the last three Olympics.
