  1. Stina Nillson goes clean in prone. In 5th place right now. That will change, but nice job.
  2. Dunklee, Dunklee, Dunklee ... How she can be so good (last week) and so unpredictable (two weeks ago and today)
  3. And Haecki continues to be one of the most frustrating biathletes.
  4. He sort of gave this away a week or so ago. That he would retire when he wanted to, not dictated by anyone else.

  6. Looks like the World University Games in 2025 will use Pragelato in Italy. Have they ever hosted any biathlon races, or is this a new venue?
  7. US with a 6th and 3rd. I think this is the first time they have ever been on the podium for the SM relay. Great week for Susan Dunklee.
  8. Kalkenberg and Egorova tied for the win. Passler with 3rd place. 15 clean shoots in teh race, not bad. Two were for the US!
  9. Finland with a surprise 3rd in the men's short individual. Rivail of France and Cappellari finish 1st and 2nd with Laitinen and Strelow of Germany tying for 3rd. Cappellari was the only one to shoot clear. Voigi of Germany won the Gold with a clean shoot for Germany. She was the only one to do so. Goreeva (2nd) and Chauveau (3rd) both missed 3 shots. In the men's sprint from this morning, Nawrath took the win, A. Andersen 2nd and Rivail 3rd. Bjoentegaard finished 4th. I do not see how he gets back onto the World Cup team. I would not be surprised if he retired this summer. There were 4 other Norwegians in the top 12, all younger than him. 15 shot clean, with Vsivtsev of Estonia being one of them. Even with a clean shoot, he finished in 93rd place 4:01 behind. A little more random analysis, no Norwegian shot clean in the sprint, 3 Germans did, 3 Italians, 2 Russians, 1 Slovak, 1 Slovene, 1 Belgian, and 1 from Moldova.
  10. BIU Provisionally Suspends Andrejs Rastorgujevs "The athlete has now two weeks to respond to the decision. In order to protect the integrity of this ongoing case, the BIU will make no further comment at the current time."
  11. I saw that is was not one of the biathletes and chuckled a little bit. I love the hat. The area looks very Soldier Hollow-esque.
  12. Indian National Biathlon Championship - held at the Gulmarg Golf Club.
  13. 125 in the men's short individual. 109 in the women's short individual Looks like a mix of IBU and Juniors
  14. @Fly_like_a_don Looks like someone hosted an Indian National Winter Biathlon Championship. "National Winter Biathlon Championship concluded at Gulmarg on Sunday. The five day championship which started on 3rd March was organized by Biathlon Association of India in collaboration with HAWS and Biathlon Association Of J&K.Major General R.K Singh(AVSM) of HAWS was the chief guest for inauguration and at the concluding function. 10 teams from various parts of the country took part in the championship.Army (HAWS), ITBP got the positions and won the Medals with cash awards."
  15. US women were all out of the top 70. Ouch! Lots of missed targets.
  16. Anyone know who was unable to go for the Swiss?
  17. Poland for the win in the Youth Men. France and Italy also get medals. The US finished 5th! Estonia finished in 8th. With 2 races left, 12 nations have medals. I do not really expect that to change.
  18. France picks up another gold in the Youth Women relay. Slovenia impresses again and Italy with the bronze. The US youth women really suffered on the range today with 7 penalty loops! Estonia in 4th after two legs in the Youth men. They have avoided the penalty look and doing well.
  19. Great relay from the US. .1 away from being ahead of Norway. Kazkhastan shot amazing well, only 2 spares in the entire race. Too bad they skied so slow.
  20. Good races yesterday. Quick question, is Passler the daughter of Johann Passler the Italian biathlete from the 1980s? I would assume so, but just wanted to confirm. Baserga looked really good in the Pursuit.
  21. Last race is moved from Italy to Obertillach next week.
  22. 25 teams for the men's relay. 23 teams for the women's relay.
  23. 4 pursuit races tomorrow. - all will be streamed on Eurovision.
  24. Hartweg and Fravi have the speed and talent to be successful moving forward. Congrats to Claude, Karlik and Pervushin. US gets 2 in the Pursuit, and one missed by 1.5 seconds, but had 5 misses.
  25. For a long time, they were not good at all. I think success breeds success. Fourcade's long time on the top can only help those who come behind. They also have a few great training areas. That helps as well. There is also a strong tradition of endurance sports in the country.
